Would be nice to have a 50% and 100% open window button from the app, as well as corresponding buttons from the car screen(s). The keyfob allows for fully opening windows remotely, but not everyone has one.

I’ll just settle for the windows auto closing when walking away from the car!

"Hey Siri vent windows." Works great with CarPlay in particular.

The key is make sure you soft press them instead of pressing them all the way down which is the auto-down.
Yeah, Rivian has too many "2-stage" controls that annoy my spouse. She always ends up putting on the "full turn signal" when she means to just do "lane change", she does "full window roll down" when she means to just do a little, etc.

Might cause a safety issue if you have a person or pet in the vehicle with an appendage out the window. "trying to catch rain drops"
Yeah, but if you may have that scenario I think you'd not enable that feature.

Does any one else think it is odd that we can vent windows through the phone app, but nothing on the huge car screen that vents the windows?
Yes. I would love to see it added to quick menu where the are a couple of unused buttons.
My suggestion is 1 tap to vent, double tap for all down.

My spouse refuses to drive my R1T, and I'm fine with that.

I didn't know the fob could roll the windows down.

I completely agree.
Others may prefer otherwise, but, like you, I prefer a single tap after opening the screen for the similar functions (frunk, charger, etc.).
To me this seems more efficient and less distracting (esp while driving) than having to tap-tap each of the 4 physical window buttons then look around to see if they’re all about the same. Then adjust one or more windows and look around again. And maybe again after that.😃

You guys are so much more adept than myself. I can spend several minutes trying to get the windows just right without them going all the way sown then all the way up. And to do it for each window. Just like the application in the app and think it should be on the "open" (frunk, tailgate, tunnel, etc) screen.
Hook your finger on the edge of the switch. Do a full press to engage the auto down then tap up when the window is where you want it. You should be able to get pretty good at this after a bit.

I would be happy if the app vent windows feature worked properly. On my Gen 2 R1T, first try only vents the passenger side, then I need to close and re vent to get all 4 to vent. Same on close, need to do it twice. This happens 100% of time when the truck is sleeping prior to sending the command.
Hello, my 2025 R1S just started doing this last week. Prior to last week, it was working correctly (both driver and passenger sides vent when command is sent and vehicle is in sleep mode).

Now, like you, when command sent from sleep mode, only passenger side vents. Then I must close them and initiate the command again for both passenger and driver side to vent. If it is awake and I send the command, it works fine. Only when the command is sent and vehicle in the sleep mode is when I have the issue.

I thought maybe when I did the latest OTA update it would resolve but it didn’t. Next, I tried a soft OS restart holding down the 2 outside thumb buttons on the steering wheel but that did not resolve it either.

Living with it for now. Cool rainy weather is here for the next 6 to 8 months so the feature won’t be of much value until summer of 2026 arrives.
