That's not a bad idea, I am not aware of any local groups around me though with Rivian still being a new brand.
The device prior to repair (not replacement mind you) would give me the camera malfunction error randomly. It never happened while cruise was active, and a reboot would allow me to...
I found the standard SunnyPilot and also the Down to Ride model just ping ponged in the lane more than OP. I didn't get enough time behind the wheel to really feel them out, so it was a short lived test. I recently sent my unit back to Comma to get "repaired", and just received it back...
Thanks Gerry, but could you ELI5?
What link should the average person use with a fair amount of reliability, if they want to try something other than stock Openpilot? Adventurepilotdev/stg ?
I tried sunnypilot briefly, but found it to be far worse than just stock OP so looking forward to trying...
12V batteries don't last long on EVs due to different charging characteristics (no alternator). Rivian is supposedly adding an option in the Service menu to clear codes after a DIY replacement, but you can still DIY. Soonish makes a battery post adapter, and links to an aftermarket battery that...
100% plan to do the F33 fuse tap from the start. The OBD connector that I received in March with my Comma 4 did not fit tightly, and needed to be taped in place otherwise it would fall out while driving. Also be careful handling the USB-C cable they include. It has very thin sheathing which is...
If you still get that symptom, for me it was a crimped USB-C cable from Comma. It's too fragile IMO.
I also had a ton of other warnings pop up in addition to the stuck in park symptom, but they're all gone now. Just the occasional camera malfunction on the unit itself which I may look to get...
Did you get the 275/65? I think I'm leaning this way, but the slightly smaller 275/60 just to keep range the same or better. Any opinions on how they drive on-road? Highway speeds?
Stock comma harness, and I've currently got a spare cable plugged into it to try. Upon removing the Comma-provided USB-C cord though, I got the errors once more. The new spare cord I plugged/unplugged multiple times without any fuss whatsoever so...hopefully just a wonky cable. Will see how it...
Coming here rather than starting a new thread, but having Comma4 issues as well. I seem to have it narrowed down to possibly something with the USB-C or the power port itself on the device. I have the device powered via F33 fuse tap, and the stock Comma harness AXM power wires are de-pinned and...
You can replace them yourself, for about a quarter of the price you were quoted. Soonish makes a post relocator to allow a normal battery of the same size as OE to be used. There's a couple videos on YouTube for how to replace, and there's a service menu option to clear the 12V codes. The single...
Bumped tire pressure to 50psi, park in the sunniest spot in the driveway, and charge to 85% instead of 70%. NMC battery doesn't degrade as much, if any, in cold weather so able to negate somewhat the efficiency loss in cold temps. I only charge once a week on average though.
If it's just me in...
Would be nice to have a 50% and 100% open window button from the app, as well as corresponding buttons from the car screen(s). The keyfob allows for fully opening windows remotely, but not everyone has one.
