It is software locked, confirmed the a service center employee.

Seems like only the standards/standard+ lost the high regen option after the update. So that explains why the Gen2 dual standard I drove had only two options for regen.

Understandable…I remember the 24 GX550 I drove, the hood flap made me not wanna go past 70 much less.

If I can cruise at 100 comfortably in my MDX and Murano, I’m sure I can in the R1S.

How does the size of the R2 look in person?

Finally, someone understands why I need the higher top speed here! Funny how the 25 Gen2 demo I drove had a top speed of 130…

Exactly! I’ve been waiting for one to pop up so I can snatch.

At 130mph…I heard some wind noise from the windshield and side mirror area…but not bothersome. At around 70-80, it’s so much more silent compared to gen1. A bit of wind noise, but that’s expected with the shape. However, it’s very quiet.

The improved ride quality is mainly due to some mechanical changes to the suspension also. Gen1 will be getting an update soon to fix the ride quality some more. It won’t be as good as gen2, but should be better than what it is currently.
