  1. Will an Original Rivian Key Band Work with a Gen 2 R1 Vehicle?

I’ve been trying to get a new Gen 1 key fob since last fall. Was told they were on back order. I had another service appointment today and was told the same thing.
  2. Car camping: Any experience or opinions on air mattress, window shades, etc?

My wife and I have the two Rivian-Hest co-branded mattresses for the R1S. We are very pleased with them.
  3. R1 derates charging to 24 amps on Tesla Universal Wall charger

Is your wiring passing through metal conduit? I guess metal conduit will amplify the vibration . That’s what I have.
  4. R1 derates charging to 24 amps on Tesla Universal Wall charger

Like what BCondrey stated, I am also receiving the red flashing light at the top with green pulsating lights
  5. R1 derates charging to 24 amps on Tesla Universal Wall charger

thanks for the reply. I was also wondering if you have that eletrical buzz/hum when charging at 48 amps? I notice a significant difference between 40 amps and 48 amps. 40 amps is nearly silent with little heat generated.
  6. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

I see. The ā€œAZā€ in your handle must stand for Arizona. šŸ˜‚
  7. R1 derates charging to 24 amps on Tesla Universal Wall charger

I’ve been using a Tesla Universal Wall Charger to charge my Model Y and R1S for almost 2 years. The install was coordinated by Qmerit and the electrician they contracted knew what they were doing. My neighbor also used them and would concur. Recently I noticed that the R1S was only charging at...
  8. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

thanks for the post. Very interesting about the R1T with 72K miles and perfect looking rotors. Out of curiosity, do you live in a region where road salt is used in the winter?
  9. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

Thanks for the post. Yes, I also switched off the ā€œRegenerative Braking Assistā€ in the very beginning. I am amazed at how powerful the R1 regen is. I’ve found that even when switched to ā€œLowā€ the regen braking often is still enough to slow down the vehicle without needing to press the brake.
  10. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

As a follow-up question, if I ask Rivian to take a look at my brake rotors during a previously scheduled service appointment, should I plan on Rivian charging me a labor rate just to look at them? So far I have paid zero dollars for all 17 of my service visits (except for the replacement of the...
  11. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

Thanks for your reply. I’m on the fence as to if I want to add this to my service ticket for next month’s service appointment. I don’t feel like there is anything wrong with the brakes. Just visually the rotors don’t look that great and now I have developed an infatuation with everyone’s brake...
  12. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

We do live in the Chicago area, so frequent driving in road salt. I wonder the fact that yours is a Gen 2 Dual makes any difference?
  13. Rear Brake rotors - casualty of high regen.

Hi, I’ve always used high regen with the idea that I could extend my brake life. For the most part I think this is true, however, I recently noticed when detailing my wheels that the rear rotors are not wearing evenly like the front. I can see some groove lines and also the wear pattern does not...
