Yea I get it. As a programmer if I had the script for pet mode on the R1 that works great, it wouldn't be necessary to rewrite the same code. From my perspective it just doesn't make sense.

I'm honestly surprised Pet Mode isn't available at launch. It seems like such a straightforward feature, so I'm curious what's making it complex enough to require an OTA update? I've never really understood situations like this. What am I missing?

Exactly this. For daily (around town) I charge to 60-70%. NMC is happiest between 40-60%. Short term storage 50-70% is perfect. Long term storage 50-60% is prime. Road trips, I let it rip.

For me, the biggest reason is noise. It all started when I had the Michelin PS4 AS on our Teslas. My wife couldn't stand the noise/pitch, and honestly it was annoying even for me. The Hankooks are noticeably quieter than the Michelins, which is a huge plus in an EV. Beyond that, I've found them...
