I get asked about my Defender a lot more than my Rivian. And sometimes I get asked about both or which one I like better. My answer is always the same. I like the Rivian a lot, but I LOVE my Defender!

Update: the audio quality in my gen 1 R1T (OG Rivian in-house) now sounds much better after the update. Still not awesome, but a significant and noticeable improvement!

I'm no audiophile but I believe audio quality is tied more to hardware than to software. And the audio hardware in Rivians is embarrassingly bad for a $95K vehicle. Like "I just rented the cheapest Nissan Sentra you can get and it had better audio quality than my Rivian" bad. So I don't know...

No. I miss my Defender (still have it, but my wife drives it now). I really like the R1T, but I don't love it. I would definitely buy another Rivian, but I'd get the R1S for my wife and I'd take the Defender back.
