  1. PSA: Make Sure to Check Your Driver Side Mats and Passenger Side Mats for Moisture after HVAC drain Plug Campaign RCA-26-24-002-1

Exact same situation occurred in my house! We had blamed the dog for all the noxious odors... but the lil' pup was innocent all along.
  2. Quiet owner.... but out.

I am in Winston-Salem. Going to Richmond VA (when the comms module failed) required a nearly 4-hour drive each way. Going to anything in the Charlotte or Raleigh area would be ~2 hours each way. The 'third party' option in Hickory NC is still 1 hour away.
  3. Quiet owner.... but out.

The comms modules all went kaput about a year ago, and I needed to haul it all the way to Richmond VA where it sat for a week or so before repair. The 12v battery swap was done by mobile support after dash warnings appeared. I got call a proactive call from Rivian that I needed to go to a...
  4. Quiet owner.... but out.

In the words of Pop heronie, Anne Marie, "Ciao, Adios" Sold my 22 R1T this morning. 21k miles. I absolutely loved the truck and everything about the Rivian vibe, but lived in fear of any service/warranty related issues with backed up SC and hellish commute even to reach the nearest one...
  5. PSA: Make Sure to Check Your Driver Side Mats and Passenger Side Mats for Moisture after HVAC drain Plug Campaign RCA-26-24-002-1

No SC nearby. Rivian wanted me to go to a 3rd party tech in Hickory NC (an hour west of me in Winston Salem). To drive an hour each way, and then have to sit for a 2-hour service simply doesn't 'feel' right -- for a problem that hasn't manifest yet.
  6. PSA: Make Sure to Check Your Driver Side Mats and Passenger Side Mats for Moisture after HVAC drain Plug Campaign RCA-26-24-002-1

Curiously, I was notified for this fix too. I'm going to decline it, until I actually notice a problem. Gen 1 R1T, dry so far --- also here in the humid southeast.

I am suspicious of 'cleaning products' explanation. I suspect that's a smoke-screen for something else. How does a consumer 'cleaning product' clog an HVAC drain?
  8. Firmware Update Issue, Rivian Stuck on 2023.06.02 in Kazakhstan

@Gregorykz I cannot believe nobody has given you the secret code yet... just call Rivian and tell them your name is David Alexanian.
  9. Software update borked my tonneau

+1. Like WTF... are you brothers with RJ or something?
  10. Reboot Frequency

For the first time in maybe 18+ months, my Gen 1 R1T rebooted in the midst of driving home last evening. Damn it's alarming when it happens in the middle of a big intersection! No real issues... everything continued to 'drive' just fine and both displays came back online within about 20...
  11. 2025.18 Update Release Notes

99% of the time that somebody else is in the driver seat of my R1T (Service Center notwithstanding), the person has literally no idea how to start or drive the truck anyway. I'm not too worried about it being stolen.
  12. How do I turn off “Approve drive to get going”

    IMHO, that's not a feature, that's a royal PITA.
  13. New 21" tire option - Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 275/55-21 @ $380

Another quick update -- I'm around 1200 miles now (yeah, I don't drive that much) and the Defenders remain very quiet with basically no treadwear. While it's probably due to seasonal temperatures, I'm now steady in the 2.3 - 2.4 range.
  14. Spotify DJ

In my experience over the last week or so, I have found the DJ feature quite good. I entered a single artist that I enjoy, and the DJ has been finding a slew of good music and a bunch of stuff I already like. Maybe its just me... but I rate the DJ a "win".
  15. Rear Ended - Thankful for R1T Safety

I can't believe I'm the first to post this.... Judging from that outfit, I'm afraid your R1T wasn't the only thing rear-ended that morning.
