Test drove today. Can confirm no grab handles. It's not hard to get in/out of, but I can see see seniors having an issue just because they might want/need the extra contact point for stability. I wouldn't be surprised if proper grab handles are added at some point.

Anyone else notice R2 All-Terrain "Large" Premium Edition with 137kWh battery? I'm guessing the battery is a holdover from R1, but you'd think the car they're showing off would have updated software...

I'm more curious to see what the other differences between Gen 2 & Gen 3 will be. Yes, Gen 3 will have LIDAR, but will there be other substantial architecture differences like the computer zoning changes from Gen1 -> Gen2?

I only know about the DEET solvent effects because i learned the hard way - luckily not on my car. Applied a bunch of it, then ended up covered in paint that it was stripping off a beach volleyball i was holding. I use a picaridin based lotion now for bug repellent.

I'm going to guess you used bug spray recently. DEET is a known solvent and will act on some plastics.

That's a big miss if Rivian didn't just integrate Qi2 into the OEM pad. Easy & cheap retrofit, wouldn't even need the divider up top so it would look sleeker too.

This does lend credence to a SC in Charlotte. Rivian careers currently has openings in Charlotte for Maintenance Technicians.
