Yea, I agree it isn't ideal. As someone who had three power running board motors replaced on a 2003 Ford Explorer years ago which are about 2k per motor I can see this not being ideal at all.
That is one bonus for the Rivian Care is that the mileage is unlimited, it's all based on years. Also they take the battery pack to 200K miles if within the term limit.
Since you can transfer the warranty we see it as good for us and a selling point for private sale so we are going to max out. Looking at the high deductibles our pricing for our 2023 R1S with 37k miles is
6 year 1k deductible $4804
7 year 1k deductible $5686
The price increases for the terms...
Your better off emaiing them like others have suggested on the forum. I emailed them and got a reply they would respond in three days and they responded on the second with a link to the site where you can get the brochure and all the quotes. Our quotes are good until Sept 1 and we will be...
So the backcountry ultralight backpacking world is about as adventurous as you can get, and if you want to watch a lot of people get excited fast, go near some of that gear with DEET-based bug repellent or certain sunblocks, and they will freak out because it will melt a lot of the ultralight...
I'm up here now on our road trip and it does show up on the map in the Rivian. We didn't need to stop though, the amount of chargers online are amazing. We came up the new jersey turnpike and the applegreen chargers in New Jersey are just screaming fast and easy to use. I wish Rivian would add...
Yup, day one minute -1 reservation here and current R1S owner. Just got the invite as well. We are torn on the Borealis/Launch Green and the Cloud Interior ourselves. We have a very busy summer, a daughter that just graduated from high school and is off to college so I think we are going to wait...
You joke, but I have seen a LOT of discussions out there in the suburban, expedition, and other SUV and truck forums about what size pistol safe will fit in all the consoles of the vehicles. Generally speaking, it seems to be more of a mid-west to western U.S. thing (I understand I'm...
Yup, they advised for the R1's not tinting the roof. We did the windows and it is plenty cool in the cabin. If you toucht the glass it gets hot, but I sometimes wonder if the people complaining about the heat from it have their heads pushed up against it. We are in VA summers here where it often...
Came here to say the same thing. The Borealis is showing "September" and the Coastal Cloud "August" for me.
That would be a pretty big development for my family
I was sharing this thread on reddit and reading what I wrote. I thought I would just update that we continue to park in the garage without issue to this day. I did replace the tape on the floor for the curb with tapcons though after the tape failed after a year of use.
haha, I didn't find my way here from Reddit, I have been here from the beginning as well.
What are you looking for here? Short of Rivian making this engineering decision and considering all the aftermarket sponsors of the enthusiast sites, what would be your perfect outcome here?
