  1. RAN Rivian Charging Stations Locations Map via Google Maps

The map isn't showing Panoche Rd in CA off the 5 in the San Joaquin Valley as open, but it is open and has been open for months.
  2. Bi-Directional Charging??? When???

Cost is negligible, and it has many potential uses in emergencies. Thou protests to much. I suppose you also object to cars having to be equipped with seat belts that you don't want.
  3. Bi-Directional Charging??? When???

While the original poster may have meant something different, the part that will be mandatory is that your vehicle will be capable of doing bidirectional charging.
  4. Fragile Windshield. On my third replacement

I'm getting close to two years, no issues with the windshield. I'm not sure if it is true, but I've heard that not driving near big trucks reduces your chances of having a rock kicked up into your windshield. I hope you have better luck with your third windshield.
  5. flat tire due to a nail.covered under warranty?

Some shops, like Discount Tire, patch tires for free. I'm not sure if they are in Canada.
  6. Solar Panel for Overlanding

I believe, based on reading the website, that it has a battery. "Battery Type: Lithium Iron Phosphate to buffer solar intermittency"
  7. Tesla Model Y price slashing again, and the future of RIVN

This will make depreciation more consistent among all cars sold since everyone will be comparing to MSRP, but each individual buyer will have their own depreciation depending on what price they actually paid. In the end there is no difference in depreciation between the two sales models. If the...
  8. Newsom just signed sliding scale electric rates... Defeated

Google does not agree with your title. While such a law has been proposed Google seems unaware if it has been signed into law.
  9. DHL piloting Rivian RDV delivery vans?

Your statement has an error, if it is dual motor (I believe that all EDVs are now equiped with the Enduro motor) it would be all wheel drive. I believe you meant single motor front wheel drive.
  10. Why vehicle roof-top solar isn't practical. (Unlimited range??)

If you assume that you are unable to get gas, there is probably some distance that carrying extra solar panels instead of fuel trucks would make sense
  11. Why vehicle roof-top solar isn't practical. (Unlimited range??)

That is what I was thinking. On the Aptera it makes some sense, since the Aptera is 6+ times more efficient than a Rivian R1. To make since on a car, either the efficiency of the car or the panels needs to increase.
  12. Why vehicle roof-top solar isn't practical. (Unlimited range??)

Needs context. Not practical for what? Most people don't drive more than 70 miles a day. Many rooftop solar installations get far more than 8 hours a day of sunlight. Also, per google average solar panels are currently from 250w to 400w, so you are also using the lowest quality panel.
  13. Portable Charger Stopped Working

Check it on multiple outlets that you know are working. Then report to service. My portable charger never worked and they sent me a replacement after having me test it on various outlets.
