Weāve got the plug for the license plate light connector available on the RiviMods site if you ever want to run it powered from the Rivian.

@Polar, myself and a few other customers are running it that way. Itās clean and...
Looks awesome! Thanks for the photos of the install and for the feedback! I originally had just jumped the bumper instead of going down through the inside of the tailgate and out underneath like you did here. I moved mine in the end but I happen to have a slightly longer cable so didnāt notice...
hmm, it shouldnāt be marked as pre-order. I made a small change, can you try again? I usually make them to order but often have a few extras that are ready to pack and send within a few days. The lead time is written in the description on page, currently for the center cap version it is 1-2weeks.
The center cap version matches the vertical height of the camera on the R1S better and the hitch mounted version is a closer match vertically to the R1T camera position. This does depend a little bit on how high the spare is mounted and the difference is relatively minor in the end result where...
1. Yep they accept a ring terminal
2. I mounted my box just off to the right. There are some bolts around the void that I used. I ran the cable through an empty rubber cable hole in the firewall (drivers side) and mounted my switch panel next to my steering wheel using a modified phone holder...
Hi Sidney,
thatās no good! I believe a batch of Beta clips went out that were printed in PLA instead of the more temperature resistant ASA. The PLA is fine in moderate and cool temperatures but warps in the hot weather. I will DM you and send you a replacement clip ASAP.
Another thing to note...
I hear you on this one. Iām working on an updated version that should get the alignment perfect for gen1 brackets without the need to fiddle with it. Gen1 and gen2 are a touch different. I donāt think metal inserts are necessary but rather some tweaks to the dimensions should get it spot on...
That looks awesome! I love the red glow from the tail light, very cool!
Yeah, I purposely designed it to have very tight tolerances because I wanted to avoid it from easily rotating (and ruining the view) and also to prevent people easily pulling it out.
Hope you like it!
(To remove it again...
In the instructions I suggest going top in first and then bottom, but if that doesnāt work, try your best to have it go straight in. If you post photos or DM me, I can help further.
Glad the extra clips helped! I also needed to use a few š
Yes it should be reasonably flush, there is a bit of overhang evenly all the way around but it sits in the hole all the way so that the wheel touches the mount for the full circle. What wheel do you have?
If you have the OEM wheels, you shouldnāt need the spacer.
Great to hear you got it installed successfully and that youāre happy with it!
And thank you very much for the feedback on the instructions too! Iāll definitely take this all into account and polish them up a bit more. Great suggestions. Iāll consider switching to regular torx bits but I was...
I also thought about this and was looking into what this might take. The convenience of the existing camera plug already being outside the seals of the liftgate is why we have run it from the current camera location. There is another camera connector on the R1S further down the line into the...
The gen1 and gen2 cameras can currently use the same hardware to connect but thatās not the biggest issue. Connecting them blindly is not a good idea as itās possible something might fry, like the onboard computer.
I will be testing the digital protocols on the cameras to see what they are. But...
