  1. Trouble in the snow with my QM R1T Adventure

I have a QM and hated the AT 20s on snow/ice. I switched the other Nokkians, and for me, it was night and day. To the OP's point, about 10 days a year that's my use case in Oregon. I justified it because it extends the life of the ATs as I only drive on them 7-8 months a year and then drive on...
  2. Experience shopping for an EV9 vs R1S - Update

Once the order is confirmed, you're right. It's non-refundable. If that's the order of events, it's broken on Rivian's side. I didn't do a trade-in, nor did I have a sales tax, but I had canceled a deposit and got a prompt refund.
  3. Experience shopping for an EV9 vs R1S - Update

What risk are you taking on the $1000 - it's 100% refundable. Is it inconvenient, yes. Is it a risk, no.
  4. Tigard Festival of Cars

I saw you down by Starbucks on Murray and Scholls (I live over that way) and almost chased you down to look at your rack setup. ;) I imagine you've posted about it here before, but if not can you clue me in?
  5. Portland area tire service

Same as the previous post. I have the spare, so it has the (not great) puck in there, Schwab just used that to do my tire switchover in the winter/spring. And, like the previous post, Schwab told me it took a bit longer because they had to do it one wheel at a time w/ a manual floor jack. The...
  6. Stupid Idea? Probably

yep - I picked up my R1T at the factory just over a year ago and drove it home over 3 days from Illinois to Oregon - Had only ever driven a Model Y on a test drive, but it was all a non-issue. My toolkit included: - A better route planner - Electrify America and Charge point apps w/ the...
  7. For those who got R1S (or R1T) at original approximately $78k would you buy one for new price of approximately $93k?

Go back and reread my post. See the bold italics in their quited post? That was my attempt to indicate what i was referring to.

You should have known about all these things before you bought the truck? That's like going to an Asian restaurant and being unhappy they don't have Fried Chicken.
  9. Electric Cooking options

I have a 1500w dual burner induction cooktop also a small pellet smoker that I can run off the outlet. https://asmokegrill.com/products/asmoke-portable-grill-as350
  10. EVs are killing machine road missiles.

I'm seeing a proliferation of "the problem with EV articles" lately. Most make a couple one or more of three points 1) We're not designing efficient EVs, you can build x Leafs for every F150/R1T. So we're wasting resources because as a society we're obsessed with big trucks/SUVs 2) A variation...
