Overall I am very satisfied with the R1S. This experience was an adventure by itself so, definitely suits the Rivian tagline.
- Pre-order date - 11/21 (QM, OC, 21s)
- In late summer (2023), I was given the option to switch to P-DM but I decided to keep the QM as it didn't make sense from the...
Good catch, now I have to look back at how I got a refund from my other car. On TT I just added the R1 on the same section and the TT professional who was helping me had 30yrs of experience.
I did mine this week with TT and everything went fine except for when I was ready to submit and it was complaining about expiration date on the form being earlier than the Date of Purchase. I was going to change the purchase date to 10/2021 but wanted to check with TT professional and as usual...
I am curious on the community's thoughts on why they wouldn't switch to DM form QM (with or without discount)? Just my thoughts as I will switch from Quad to Dual -> We get more range with the Dual Motor (EPA 352 - IMHO a premium), will have more data/support from Rivian with Enduro on EDVs...
I am curious if people have used any glue to keep these center caps in place? Based on the installation instructions I feel like these might come off over time. Any thoughts? https://rivian.com/gear-shop/p/21-in-road-wheel-center-cap...
I got this note today, looks like Rivian will provide an option to existing pre-order holders with a possibilty to switch to Dual-Motor. Any other pre-March 22 orders holders also receive this?
I am a pre-March 22 R1S order holder and even at the same price I would switch from Quad to Dual enhanced if given the option. Not sure if that makes sense to Rivian from a production cost standpoint. It would seem like a mutual benefit between additional range and reduced production cost.
Curious if anyone has received any invites to switch from Quad to Dual, especially anyone taking deliveries were given the option? Not that they would as the inventory needs to clear up.
