Never had a Gen 2 loaner but a few R1T's to make me jealous of the longer wheelbase ride feel vs the R1S. Crazy how different the feel is between the 2 models on Gen 1.
Wish I knew enough to put downpayments on the R1T and R1S. Didn't realize they would do the R1T first and could've driven that for a year and sold it with little to no loss for the R1S. Kudos!
It's why the apps should be separate from a complete vehicle upgrade. You shouldn't have to wait months because of typical upgrade cadence to address an application issue. I think they just don't have the development talent that Tesla has or the many more years of experience. I still have to...
Never drove the Gen 2 but the Gen 1 R1S suspension is hot garbage. Had a Gen 1 R1T loaner the other week and it was so much better because of the wheelbase.
Wonder if it's compatible with Gen 1. I'll ask next week at my service appointment. Would be nice to have a faster wireless charging instead of aftermarket taking up a USB port
Just be happy you have the R1T. The Gen 1 R1S suspension is a joke, even on 20's with the short wheelbase. I wish it was longer! I had a Gen 1 R1T loaner way back (with meridian) and it ruined me going back to the R1S with suspension and audio.
But can he windmill dunk? I sat in the R2 and the seats are pretty comfy but not wide enough compared to my R1. Back seat leg room was ridiculous though with how much space there is.
Test drove a Gen 1 R1S in Brooklyn on 22's back in 2023 and quickly changed my config to 20's. I can't believe they would even allow test drives on 22's which felt like absolute crap in city driving.
