Gen 1 Quad Motor R1S. My rear drive unit failed early this year.

I had this same issue. I called in and somehow they talked me into a new subscription but the car thinks I'm on a trial plan or something. The screen I got wouldn't even let me log in or out - it jus said to call Rivian.

Sounds good. It looks like Discount tire has them for a reasonable price. I'll give them a go I think. Les Schwab is closer to me but they don't seem to have them on their site.

My stock Pirelli tires are finally on their way out at 20k miles. I live in Denver and I don't hit the mountains particularly much so I'm not in need of a 2 tire solution (summer and winter tires that is). The truck is basically my daily driver around the city. I'm not really into going...

I don't care as much about off-road use honestly. I just want good efficiency and a comfortable ride - and I would love to keep the beefy look. Should I look at a different tire?

I am considering these tires for my R1S. Any further detailed accounts for daily driving and snow? I too live in Colorado. Do they still feel reasonably sporty or are they just big wallowy tires?

I got my car back yesterday. All is good now. They replaced the entire rear drive unit. Oddly, they also had to replace the 12v again as it wasn't behaving properly they said - remember they had just replaced the 12v a couple days before it went into the shop. Hoping for many more miles of...

Service got to my car today. The issue is the rear drive unit inverter suffering an internal failure. Should have it back in like 2 weeks... Meanwhile I'm driving a rental Yukon - so I went from burning no gas to all of it. Really wish they had more Rivian loaners around..

I'm just wondering if this happened because of the retorque hubs recall. It's so strange that it happened so soon after that.

I use Alexa to control a lot of things as I find the touchscreen almost dangerous to operate. So, when Alex is down, it's incredibly frustrating. That said, I think this mostly has to do with our Rivian's having a hard time getting cell signal to establish a connection.

I sat in my garage for like 10 minutes trying to make it skip track with some magic amount of time holding the button and could not make it do it haha. Is there some setting in the Alexa app that might change this back?!

Just bumping this. Its really dangerous to have to reach to the other side of the dash to skip track while driving.

Other than not being able to change stations with the steering wheel, the interface is great and I'm happy to be able to use it natively.
