I.... don't think that's a thing. I managed to get by with a Tesla frunk for the last 12 years and I wouldn't say hot pads have ever been needed to shut it.
Nah, there has to be a roadmap defined by the hardware capabilities. Until they disclose that, I won't drop 2500 on it, and IMHO, no one else should either.
Replying to my own post. Just as @lmerani said, about 10 min later, I can now connect to the car over lte and without Bluetooth having to be on. Something is seriously wrong with that Wi-Fi card in the car after this update.
Is this still happening you you? I tried flipping Wi-Fi off but not sure how long it takes to register. App still says "no cloud access" and when the Wi-Fi is on, it says "unstable internet connection". Which is insane since I have about $2k of Ubiquiti hardware about 10ft from the hood of the car.
I really want to know what the feature complete roadmap is for R1 gen2. specifically.
Like, what is the point they will step back and say, "this is a finished product"?
As someone who is quickly approaching out of warranty, what should I be doing about half shafts on a DMP? And what should I expect cost wise out of warranty, and how often?
Blah blah blah. They need to get back to quality speakers with good magnets and more windings, but especially a decent powered subwoofer.
I don't know why they keep trying to "fix" the audio when they've put themselves behind the 8 ball with materials. Speakers need to play the frequencies...
This is really interesting. Just picked the car up from service and asked it again what my range would be at 80 miles an hour, and it actually started to give a very broad estimation that wasn't entirely specific to my current driving dynamics, but wasnt the simple number on the dash reading...
I'm recanting slightly. Just noticed that there is a wake word setting. I think it's reasonable for anything that's deemed safety related to require a physical button push to interact with the assistant. That way you don't have random passengers or conversations triggering potentially...
That's hovering around a straw man argument. The reality is that a rear passenger could turn up the volume to max and distract the driver so they carine into a tree. The front passenger could surprise the driver by turning on the AC to its highest fan setting causing them to swerve into a group...
