Auxiliary brake light

This was my suspicion given all the problems I had with mine on my Gen 2. I ordered it immediately when it released, so I got one of the first ones and ended up having to have service tinker with it because the light was just on all the time. They had to rewire my 7-pin outlet to get it to work because the truck-side wiring is different Gen 1 vs Gen 2. Even then, it's annoying as hell the way it behaves on screen in the car. The trailer settings screen pops up on screen every time I slow down to stop. It got pulled from the shop not too long after my service visit.

When they designed this, they must've been using a Gen 1 truck and never thought to try it on a Gen 2.

How has it been working out for you on your Gen 1? I had the early one last year on my Gen 2 and service had to cob it together. Does the trailer screen still pop up on the dash all the time when you're using it?

I haven’t used it on a trip yet, but I plugged it in to confirm it works. Only illuminates when the brake pedal is pressed, unlike the early version that was always on. Accessory mode seems to properly disable the trailer screen on my brief test run but I’m not sure if it affects driver assistance features.
