Yup. If a crumple zone has to be much more in a small car, then something about the engineering is lacking. 12”~14” is all that’s needed. The goal is to have enough give, soak up the energy, so that the passenger compartment/cage remains intact. AFAIK, Telo has already done the testing. They just need Fed certification.

Telo has only done simulations to date.

12-14" is half of the front of the matchbox truck. If you were telling me that there was a life module in that matchbox truck made from carbon fiber like my BMW i3s then I might buy that but I'm guessing that's a no. Hard pass for this Sassquatch. To each his own crumple zone...

Edit: There’s a render on slide 10 of an SUV/van-ish thing, and I think it’s great. The sun nose proportions work a lot better in that package (IMO). And it looks like the ultimate urban/suburban human transporter.

I like the layout, driver smooshed up against the windshield. Always the first one to the scene of the wreck.
