This terrible loud sound began right after my tires were rebalanced and rotated by a tire company. It happened consistently for 3 days until I finally raised the R1T to its highest setting to inspect the wheel-well. There is a vent above the wheel and I noticed some of the plastic fins were detached on one side and sticking downward toward the rear. I suspected that since the R1T is in kneel mode when reversing out of my driveway, the tire must be catching the fins until the truck raises itself to All-purpose mode. I realigned the fins and pushed them back in so they wouldn’t stick out anymore and this resolved my issue. It’s been 5 days now without any clicking.

Clicking while turning is usually associated with CV joint and boot failure. Look at wheel well and suspension. Is it a grease splattered mess?

I will look at mine to see if I have out of place fins. I know that if I back up while it is still at kneel height and crank the steering hard the off road tires rub and make a noise. I did not bother to look where. I just don't do that.:)
