Nobody is denying that shipping costs are high. Evsportline’s quoted shipping costs are still on the higher end of retail rates and they definitely are not paying retail rates. They also are charging separate for insurance. A single wheel does not cost 250 unless you walk into a UPS store like a knucklehead. I just quoted a wheel on pirateship (OR-MA) which probably adds 20-30%(if not more) to the corporate rate they get from UPS/USPS/FedEx and it’s well under what EVsportline quoted for shipping the same wheel from Cali to Oregon. They also charge 10x for insurance what carriers normally charge(1$ per 100$ of value). I literally could send them my own labels for 60% of what they charge for shipping.

Yes, the forced insurance is shady. It's what drove my business elsewhere. I tried opting out, and it got tacked on regardless. That said, Rivian usually ship from a facility in Riverside, CA. You're in Oregon. EVS likely ship from their location in GA. Longer distance to OR.

I love seeing these in the store and have been considering the EV Sportline bed extender for some time. I don't know who is providing the off road recover kit, but $890 is ridiculously overpriced for what's included. I built my own kit with nearly everything included for under $200, excluding the duffel bag. Tracks came from Vevor, but I can't recall where I sourced the rest.
You cannot build the recovery kit for much less than what Rivian sells it for unless you go with lower end products. The kit uses higher end products and is quite reasonable for what it is, which is Factor 55. And the normal recovery kit is only $650; the $890 price also includes the MAXTRAX traction boards which are nearly $450 on their own.

Anyone know if the Molle side rail panels are compatible with the bed extender?
