I have the aluminum boards, but yes, my gaps were as big as yours. They initially looked big, but after tightening the rear bracket, the provided spacers were used to close the gaps just fine. But like I said, I have the aluminum RBs with the provided spacers. Yours look like the steel ones.I wasn’t provided spacers, but not sure if your gaps were as big as mine?
Yes I got the steel ones. I suppose I could try tightening the rear brackets first. But not seeing how if it’s already flushed at the rear, that the middle and front brackets would line up?I have the aluminum boards, but yes, my gaps were as big as yours. Hey, just catching up here - happy to help if needed, PM me and we'll connect with engineers!Yes I got the steel ones. I suppose I could try tightening the rear brackets first. But not seeing how if it’s already flushed at the rear, that the middle and front brackets would line up?
Ah, my streak of always selecting the least popular thing continues! No triple slot for those, it was a slow mover - so triple squares for the win!
I had the triple slots and now have the triple squares on the gen 2 Quad. They both look equally good! You can't go wrong with either. On my third set.Ah, my streak of always selecting the least popular thing continues!
Absolutely love the triple slot design, personally. I actually notice them a lot more than you'd think while driving, since they're clearly visible in the "turn signal camera" view.
@EV Sportline can you share more info on the insurance that can be added during purchasing? I’m looking to buy a set and am not opposed to the insurance add-on for an expensive purchase, but can’t find any actual details about who the insurance is through or anything. Is this just something that if selected, you all are committing to basically “cover” lost/damaged packages (as opposed to true insurance with an underwritten policy, etc)?
Thanks! I was referring to the first one (I assume since it’s what was offered when looking to buy the running boards). Appreciate the reply!Yes, it's simple - depends on which you're asking about, but both are simply options.
Freight carriers have 'no insurance' or 'pay for insurance'. our default (cheapest option) is no insurance. We offer the option to buy/pay for insurance. We simply pass it along. It would be the same as you going to a FedEx store and shipping something. They will offer insurance, for a fee. Shipping and shipping insurance is a money loser for us, regardless - but it's a cost we can't just absorb.
Road hazard for tires. It's insurance and we outline the details here. But if you mess up a tire, it's a coverage program. Our customers are pleased with it generally speaking. https://evsportline.com/products/tesla-tire-road-hazard-protection
