Getting ready to do this over the next couple of days. I don't want to mess with the battery post with the 12v connection that could kill the battery (as stated in the video). You stated that you could use the middle post that has nothing on it if you had a "bolt." Did you mean a nut to connect to the stud? Just want to be clear is all. Thanks!

FYI. Here is an option to use that spare stud with a fuse block.

Just a heads up guys. I should have known better than to order audio equipment from Amazon. I clicked the link and ordered the Amp from there, but I should have ordered it from Crutchfield. When I received it from Amazon it was obviously returned by someone else and missing everything except the amp. I submitted a return immediately and requested a replacement and now that is two days late so my R1S is half apart while I wait for it. Just order audio equipment from Crutchfield. They have never done wrong by me and it’s almost always free shipping and the same price.

I don't see that you used the remote control knob in the video of the install. Did I miss something? Is this something that is necessary or can you dial in the amount of bass from the software equalizer?

You can follow the T video for it. But it’s not needed. I can do an add on video where I install it in the rear.

Note to all installing this: if not using the Y-RCA splitter. Connect the OEM adapter to the white input on the amp.

I didn't add that to the video and someone DM'd me that they had to do that.

You do not need the knob per se. You can still adjust the bass in the EQ on the screen, you can also adjust the bass boost on the amp itself.

I just did the install yesterday and found that the key match and the algorithm still left some to be desired in my particular vehicle which is a heavily modified vehicle with a custom sub "box" so I had to turn the gain match up on mine as well as the bass boost on the amp itself and now sounds great.

I also installed my amp in the trunk sub floor compartment as mine would not fit in the space where the bracket should go. This is unique to my vehicle and any stock vehicle would just follow the video instructions and be fine. I can easily mess with the amp by opening up the sub trunk.

There is no ground attachment on my Gen 2 as noted in your video. Any suggestions?

There's no nut there? I did it on a Gen2 and there was a ground there. Mind taking a picture of the area?
