Makes a noticeable improvement once I figured out that you actually need to turn on the DSP on the amp. Didn't realize this until after watching a few other youtube videos about the amp. I wish I had picked a better spot for the amp makes making minor adjustments a pain.

Also, getting some minor feedback through the sub while the car is off. Will this drain my battery? Could it be my ground location? Anyone else experiencing this?

Sounds like a grounding issue. Also did you set the amp the way I stated? That way it turns off without a signal?

Going to try ground here where the tie down rail attaches. Ground off some bare metal.

Got the ground switched but still getting feedback. It's very slight but you can feel it if you put your hand on the sub. Yes, I do have the DC offset pushed in but concerned this feedback will keep the amp on.

RCA cables are free from metal. 8 even disconnected the inputs and still getting feedback. I also noticed since installing this last Friday my car as not gone to sleep. Could the amp be defective? Anyone else experiencing the car not going to sleep?

The amp being defective sounds like a possibility to me.

As for the sleep state. We don’t change anything in relation to the vehicle itself. We only tap power from the battery and an output signal from audio.

Vehicle won’t sleep with Gear Guard on.

No issues for sleep state across numerous T’s, S beta testers and the few installs I’ve talked to or done.

Gear guard is off at home so should go to sleep but doesn't. Maybe I'll try to reset the Rivian.

Looks like you're in WA. Feel free to DM me if you want me to swing by sometimes to take a look.

Here's one of my beta tester vehicles (R1S) that doesn't have a sleep issue:

Hey all! Willing to eat crow when I make a mistake. So I reached out to Kicker and asked for them to explain the process of the Keyer and the difference between using a single mono input vs the y-adapter.

They explained their keyer will result in a smoother curve if you use the y -adapter. Because of this I just ordered a crap ton of y-adapters. I am happy to ship these to anyone who has already ordered the kit. But let me know if you want it. Going forward all shipments will include the y-adapter.

I just had it installed today for $450 here in Minneapolis and I’m glad I did as it took them about 5 hours. Only problem now is I’m trying to dial it in to get less super low end and more low end…have a massive headache LOL.
