My guess, being flush with cash, they will focus on plant expansion and investing in battery manufacturing.
Building R1 vehicles is going to take a backseat to "growth".
We will see if @godfodder0901 gets his truck today. One would hope that if this is/was going to happen, the delivery would have been arranged by now. Maybe he needs to complete his employment paperwork first? ?

After reading the S1, I am starting to wonder how much this vehicle is going to cost to own/operate. Rivian has been pretty ambitious on what they are going to offer and only now are they having to disclose the details. The previous announcement of the subscription had already turned me off...
We are down to the last week of September. When will Rivian announce a delay in deliveries?
I say tommorow afternoon and hope the press isn't paying attention. Plus, if someone does report it, we will all forget about it when reviews start popping up next week.
As soon as I get a chance to look closely at the R1, I am going to look for mounting locations for a tablet or laptop. I am familiar with Ram mounts, has anyone had good experience with other brands?
