@danielvdm Interestingly, my R1T just developed a rattle coming from behind the driver display. Did you ever get this addressed, and if so, what was the diagnosis? Thanks!
Yep, that's the exact one we found and use as well. Works perfectly! The rubber grips most everything you put in the bed. I really can't recommend this solution more!!
I would love to join everyone, but I will be doing some long range road trip testing with the R1T during this week. I'm headed out to LV and then to Phoenix before returning the week of Thanksgiving. ? Been nervously planning and checking my possible routes with ABRP and Plugshare! Would...
Here's another cheap option ($39.97) that fits the width of the bed perfectly. Cut to fit the length and it has been a perfect solution for us. The rubber "grips" all the items we toss back there to carry...
That seems like a bit of an extreme "fix" Not sure it's worth a try, did they explain why exactly they had to do that to fix the grommet issue?
Had my recall check. Called and asked to show up at 8 pm the night before, so they didn't have to come back the next day. Would have figured...
Sorry, hopefully didn't mislead you with this. We used this tesla adapter at a Tesla destination charger (hotel) overnight. Unsure which generation it was. Our Rivian indicated it was delivering about 11 kW. I think the Tesla DCs are capable of up to 22 kW, so not sure if it was just this...
Sorry, two other observations I forgot to make:
1. In the month we've had it, the Tonneau cover has not had issues. Feels like the kiss of death to write that, but I have been super careful with it, only opening it when I REALLY want to show it off, or when absolutely necessary. I have...
Yep, our first EV. Have learned a lot from Rivian Forums ;-)
We purchased this Tesla DC to CCS adapter from Amazon:
Lectron [Only for J1772 EVs Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter, Max 48 Amp & 250V - Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connectors, Destination Chargers, and Mobile Connectors...
I think hotel chargers will become more than just a luxury. As EVs become more common (which exacerbates the problem) more people will want their hotels to have this feature.
We took delivery of our El Cap Granite/BM w/ 21" wheels on September 1st, and almost immediately took it on a road trip from Central Iowa to the North Shore of Lake Superior (via Sioux Fall, SD!) to test it out.
Our very first charge, away from home, was at at MidAmerican Energy (AKA Shell...
Someone in central Iowa got their Rivian yesterday! Anyone on this board? The reason I know is that the MSP Service Center sent along a replacement floormat for our R1T (our clips fell apart) with the delivery and they stopped by our house to drop it off on the way back to MSP. Congrats to...
I would have to second the plug for 1 Source Solar, as an unbiased third party. We just went with 1 Source Solar for our home, after doing quite a bit of shopping around. They were the most competitive and cost effective solution in Iowa (and beyond). We already had our local electrician...
Yes sir, that's the one! It was our first experience with a public fast charger. We were surprised to find that it was free! That model can't last long. It did work great, however.
An update from my first post here. We pulled the trigger on an El Cap with Black Mountain interior from the R1T Shop, and after a bit of an issue getting that particular truck delivered to us, they finally found us another El Cap/BM which was delivered September 1st! We promptly took it on a...
Quick question, are you saying you are seeing that the speedometer readout is about 3 mph faster than the actual speed of the vehicle (when using GPS to indicate speed?). What do you think is most accurate? speedo or GPS? Why do you think the speedo would be off that much if everything is...
Thanks! Truly excited, once again, for the possibility of finally experiencing the R1T. Had lost some of the excitement for a while with all the delays with the Max pack. Here is what I am seeing currently on the R1T shop:
Lots of Forrest Edge Interior colors. Not our thing, but...
Hi All, long time lurker to the Rivian Forums. Just stumbled onto this Iowa thread. Great idea! We are in the Ames area have had a Max pack configuration on order since January 2020. Glacier White/Black Mountain with 20"s. Been waiting a while with no real updates on the Max pack...
#1. 100% agree. I wonder how many of us might attempt to change the ocean coast wood color aftermarket? I wonder if anyone out there has an idea of how hard it would be to remove these wood trim pieces, as that would be the best way to modify them. I too love the grey interior, moreso...
No, unfortunately. The only gear shuttle I saw had the camp kitchen installed. I do have a picture of the gear shuttle from the other side of the camp kitchen, but I too would have liked to see the shuttle by itself and play around with it's functionality.
