My previous truck had no satellite antenna. I got a kit from Sirius for setting up a radio I could use in my house or my vehicle, via docks. It wasn't hard to install and worked perfectly for nearly 20 years. They still offer that kit, but you would need to purchase a radio, too. I got...
I got that email today, but they don't respond to my questions. Like, what if I wait until I am closer to being out of warranty. The aforementioned xcelerate service agreement is over $2,000 less for the 10 year plan, and seems very similar.
Might be a dumb question, but I can't find where the App version is listed. Is it within the app somewhere? The updates tab just shows the current version of my truck. (.34 currently)
I'm real happy with my Wakeshield topper. Blends well with the shape and aerodynamics of the truck, is easily installed/uninstalled. And doesn't interfere with the tonneau cover slots should you desire some two tiered storage. It also has a sleek look and I've noticed increased efficiency...
I have a shop full of random hardware and a box labeled "U-bolts". I grabbed one I thought would work, size wise, and went out to my truck. It fit quite easily. It was most likely a 5/16" x 1.5" wide. A J-bolt would work as well, but you would get a touch more purchase with the U-bolt (two...
I have selected that my on board navigation should not avoid tolls (I'm okay with them for speed and convenience in most cases). However, once we start the trip the navigation keeps trying to avoid tolls, often choosing a more circuitous, complicated and longer route than actually shows on the...
I may not be the norm, but I use chargers away from home very rarely. I only take two or three longer trips a year when I'm not flying somewhere. I charge at home the bulk of the time, have solar panels with power wall and what I do get from the grid is pretty inexpensive. With my previous...
I'm about 1,000 miles in on the Michelins. I switched when I got a side puncture on one of my original Pirellis just past 25,000 miles. I wasn't quite at 3/32" yet and thought I could have gotten 30,000 miles out of them, but the timing was right, my local DT could get the Michelins and the...
Pretty nice. I don't like losing the tie down points. I would think you could replace the bolts with an eye bolt or similar so you could still use those points to secure the topper and have a spot for ties and hooks.
2.5 years with my R1T. A few minor issues. Taken care of in a timely manner, maybe not quite Honda service level, but good. Best vehicle I have ever owned. And the most fun to drive.
I, too, have been a long time subscriber since they were launched in 2002. I was also lucky when I took advantage of the lifetime subscription they offered when they were trying to raise cash for the XM merger. I don't really miss it in my truck (Spotify works fine for me). One of the reasons...
I did hear from them this morning. The boxes are backordered and should be going out mid June. The sleds are great so far, though I think I'll be adding some non-skid tape or similar to the side I plan on keeping just a sled. The bag I carry on that side and need access to often slides around...
