  1. How to handle getting the $3750 Fed Tax rebate during purchase and then getting the rest from the Binding Agreement

Is Rivian not knocking off 3750 for the fed tax rebate for cars under 80K at point of sale (not lease, purchase)? Why aren't they?
  2. How to handle getting the $3750 Fed Tax rebate during purchase and then getting the rest from the Binding Agreement

So it sounds like i should NOT take the 3750 a the time of purchase and instead amend my 2022 tax to get the full 7500 ?
  3. How to handle getting the $3750 Fed Tax rebate during purchase and then getting the rest from the Binding Agreement

Been a bit confused how this will work out. Assuming Rivian is subtracting the $3750 from the vehicle (yes it's under 80K since I'm on pre - March pricing), how would I go about filing an amendment for 2022 taxes to get the rest. I don't recall a separate section to say you only one the rest...
  4. Rivian offering preorder price difference vouchers for remaining price protected pre-order holders

I'm not sure what electricity and insurance cost (I don't think the difference between buying and leasing is that much of a factor) have anything to do with the calculation. The idea is comparing what your estimated losses are after 3 yrs for just the vehicle.
  5. Rivian offering preorder price difference vouchers for remaining price protected pre-order holders

Assuming you could buy out the vehicle cash why would you even consider Leasing? Now these numbers are not exact and based on my tax rate (and have a binding agreement hence the 7500 rebate on a buy). What am I missing? Original Pricing Voucher Pricing Sale Value with Tax Cost after 7500...
  6. Lease/buy before the production stop?

Yeah I'm personally looking for an answer on this as well. I've heard in some threads/vids that the production halt may result in potential hardware upgrades in addition to part supply change introduction. In other communications I'm hearing it's exclusively to introduce potentially inferior...
  7. Leasing R1S based off of the pre-March pricing

Just to be clear my main objective of this post was to see if it was possible to lease the vehicles based on pre-March pricing.
  8. Leasing R1S based off of the pre-March pricing

So what was your lease numbers and what was the price of car?
  9. Leasing R1S based off of the pre-March pricing

Just curious if this was an option for anyone? I don't see it as an option on my order.
  10. Cameras picture quality

For such a high tech car, you'd think they'd put better qualify cameras.
  11. Any Rochester/Syracuse R1T deliveries out there?

That's great to hear! I did get my updated delivery date which was moved from Apr-Jun 2024 to Jan-Feb 2024. Make sense now.
  12. Any Rochester/Syracuse R1T deliveries out there?

Does anyone know what the status of the Rivian Service location in Rochester, NY is?
  13. R1S First Drive impressions

Been waiting for quite sometime to get behind the wheel of one of these guys. So some background (would be great if everyone who gives their criticism to provide a at a minimum the type of vehicles you've owned and the type of drive you prefer). With that said, here's a list of the past worth...
  14. R1S on 22" Sport Dark wheels - 2k Mile Review

Not sure I get your point. But based on my understanding of what the R1S's driving qualities are, I'm confident the Expedition was smoother and handled imperfections on the road better.
  15. R1S on 22" Sport Dark wheels - 2k Mile Review

Well yeah I think that's mostly marketing. If it's exclusively an Adventure Vehicle then yeah. But when you start advertising 0-60 speeds, type of wood trim, type of "leather", Cooled seats, how many cup holders, 7 seat passenger, offering 22" Wheels, having SOFT mode....etc. You get the drift.
  16. R1S on 22" Sport Dark wheels - 2k Mile Review

I just find it hard to believe that this is a sustainable way of designing their vehicles. Unless they're just being naïve to the fact that most people aren't driving their vehicle off road. They really need to step it up if they want to expose their vehicles to the larger masses. There's no...
  17. R1S on 22" Sport Dark wheels - 2k Mile Review

Man this talk about how bad the R1S ride quality is really concerning. I have one on order and you guys got me on the fence of whether to continue or not. Is there anyone that could say anything good about the ride quality?
  18. North East roll call

Saw a White R1s w/ the Black Sport wheels a couple days ago in S. Buffalo. Tried waving him down but he flew off :D
