  1. Basics coming unglued at Rivian?

Ha. Basics like delivering it and doing the paperwork to deliver it legally. ?
  2. Basics coming unglued at Rivian?

Just curious if anyone is having issues with Rivian getting the basics done. I have been a very happy owner for last two months and absolutely love the truck. But now am getting no response and runaround for a basic service appointment to address a few issues that we intentionally left open...
  3. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

You got it. Latest version of software installed. While Gear Guard is supposed to be off “home”, this loss makes me think that the setting in inop and Gear Guard is still on since the loss is similar to what I had few weeks ago when the truck was at the airport for a few days.
  4. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

New test in progress. Updated to new software. This time parked in my home garage at home address se in truck’s nav. Gear Guard ON but SHOULD not be running per home address. (I suspect it’s actually still on). 9 days later. Started cold and charged to 70% and 205 miles of range appx. Day 9...
  5. 2022.11.2 OTA Software Update!

No update here yet either. Must be going one floppy disc at a time ?
  6. R1T Post Delivery Accessories and Review

Yeah. Two weeks or so. Everything delivered other than the key-bracelet.
  7. R1T Post Delivery Accessories and Review

Got my boxes. For reference … Charger arrived within a week. Rest (floormats, crossbars, snowboard mount, field kit) arrived 2 week or so after delivery. Only thing missing is the bracelet key. No updates on that. Sidebar: floormat install is a little clumsy. But took only few minutes. And I...
  8. Non-Rivian rooftop tents

I just got the snowboard rack from Rivian and the attachments to crossbars and standard off the shelf. So the same “clamps” as on the fatcat and other racks will work just fine. The crossbars aren’t that unique in that case.
  9. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

Final tally. Parked the vehicle with warm battery at 184 miles on the clock. 5 days later returned. (5 cold and rainy days with lows during night near or at freezing) and Gearguard running. Gearguard had quite a few videos on the clock upon return. End state of miles when returned at 134. (I...
  10. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

Agree. So far hasn’t been bad at all with systems on and starting with warm battery.
  11. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

Check in. 72 hours in. Nothing much to report. Slight drop.
  12. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

I will keep you all updated as the car sits another couple of days. So far I am not too worried about it. Also important to note that the battery is warm when you part. So first shot is batter immediately after being parked. Then it cools etc. it does seem like the loss is slowing down some...
  13. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

Doesn’t worry me too much yet. And likely just needs some optimization on what’s running in the background. I am going to do this again in a week or two after I get home with gearguard off. Maybe those sensors and cameras drain good bit.
  14. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

48 hours later. Second morning. 49 degrees Fahrenheit. (Gearguard on).
  15. Standby test for parasitic loss while R1T unused and unplugged

Hey all. So keeping myself honest. And letting you know about a fun little experiment. Sidebar: 600 miles put on the truck last few days. And I truly feel so far it’s the best vehicle I have owned. And sadly, or fortunate to do so, have been able to own quite a few. (Sport sedans, Defenders...
  16. Delivery in MD / DC

With all the talk about Tacoma as a size reference, the size is definitely different than the internet chatter lets on. I feel like from driver seat the space is similar to what the Land Cruise was.although it drives clearly much more sporty and feels more nimble. (7,000 pounds … number. Total...
  17. Delivery in MD / DC

Thanks much. Machine gene is a blessing and a curse.
  18. Delivery in MD / DC

Right on. That’s the plan. The 22s are beautiful and essentially no real loss of range from what I am noticing. I am planning on getting a set of the 20s or an aftermarket option. I do absolutely adore Defenders. But I have learned I should not drive one anywhere where mobile signal may be...
  19. Delivery in MD / DC

Hey all. Delivery complete. We said goodbye to our Land Cruiser, shed a year, and went head first into E-world. Although the Rivian joins not just our Model 3 but also 2 Defenders that will take care of all the fuel consumption and oil leaking heart desires. ?

Awesome! I just took delivery in DC area as well. This weekend will be first few real days of exploring with the truck. So far love it and I am sure you will. Cool that you get to road-trip home and share along the way!
