This has been the case with my truck since delivery in March :( That's with the latest S25 Ultra too. Got myself the fob and life has been good. Maybe this new phone key in the update will help?
Interesting, on the official gear store site for the goodyears it says:
"275/60R20 116H XL Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT"

I wonder if its a gen1 vs gen2 thing??
From the sibling article in this thread about satisfaction:

"This year, Tesla made the biggest improvement in our brand reliability rankings, moving up eight spots to rank as...

I think this is the closest real one we have. Here's one parked in a garage.
Hey more options is always good - too bad its locked behind the tri and quad :(
Agreed - I'm super excited and maybe its copium, but I really am rooting for Rivian. I can openly admit I'm definitely a fanboi for the brand. ( Even with the myriad of service visits )
Fingers crossed its not a "coming in the next year" preview and then charge for RAP without anything new.
That system is only going to get better and if people assume responsibility and pay attention when using the system most of those accidents could be prevented. Tesla shifting the name from autopilot to "Full Self Driving" is the most damning indictment I think someone can make. Hence they...
I agree - the first update that switched the gen2 over to Rivians in house model was night and day for me. My daily commute was always the systems shutting off when there was a minor sun glare and since then it just stays locked in and hasn't had any sudden disengagements. Even the biggest...
No disrespect but I believe this is a gross oversimplification of things. It's like how people think strapping LIDAR on a car suddenly means you have solved level 4 autonomy. The real secret sauce is the actual software that knows what to do with that sensor data and the odd edge cases that...
Let's be honest with ourselves and look at statistics: " Globally, about 1.35 million people die each year in car accidents, according to the World Health Organization. The leading causes of these fatalities include speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and failure to use seatbelts "...
What a cogent and thoughtful response. I continue to use driver+ with my Rivian even after it hard veered off the road in the past. Edge cases don't negate the net positives to me. May as well shout into the void but ADAS systems will continue to evolve. Given where RIvian's goals are post...
Nah you have no idea what you're talking about. It works pretty damn well and for all practical purposes is used as a benchmark in ADAS videos for a reason.
Nothing wrong with disliking Tesla and FSD which I would understand.
Then don't use it, problem solved.
For the record the FSD I have on my older Tesla was $2k at the time and it has been absolutely worth it. I don't even have the latest updates with my 2017 model and it still is very nice to have as an option.
I won't pontificate about timelines and...
I think every brand integrates LIDAR into the process ( ie even Tesla using lidar equipped fleet vehicles ) but once you start having hours of data where you stereo video's point clouds are accurate that's where I think the real work begins.
For the sake of the matter, even with a LIDAR...
Well to be honest Stereo cameras do provide depth thanks to some trigonometry and luckily cars have headlights for when its dark. Not to mention rain and weathers effects on a laser beam. Seeing the latest FSD 14 videos and what it can do today in the hands of customers is absolutely impressive...
After seeing FSD 14.1 driving down a gravel road and parking in a small garage on top of the other videos I would place bets that it can be done with vision only. Lidar is absolutely useful in ground truth training but not on the final vehicles.
Update : New PTC is installed and works great and is silent from inside the truck. Apparently they just got 10 more in at the local service center so they are getting more with time. Took a little over a day for the install for anyone wondering.
Cheers for everyone else getting theirs...
