That's true but do you want them to add "not going to get to it for awhile" locations like Tesla does? Think I'd rather have them promote locations that are already under construction and will complete in less than a year.
And it's 1200 or 2000 cycles with 80% capacity still. It's not like the battery cells are going to die just reduced capacity. I get a lot of people asking me what I'm going to do when my Rivan battery dies or my solar panels stop working after 25 years. Seems like a lot of the public doesn't...
Nice find. That's a lot of cycles. They seem to be pretty robust and if it's listed on the spec sheet the odds will be that they will probably be better than that.
What other packs are using the 4695 cells? And number of batteries doesn't mean anything at all. I would be happy with 1 battery cell if it was 100 kWh cell.
Agree. I highly doubt the air suspension is coming to the R2, even as an option. And I hope it doesn't. I think that's my biggest worry with my truck, is that the air suspension is going to fail and cost $$$ to fix out of warranty.
Depends. You'll have to look in the Rivan app and Tesla app for membership pricing if you have a Tesla membership. Each location has different pricing so it's impossible to state if one is always cheaper than the other.
So since Rivians all come standard with non directional tires and someone then chooses to purposely but on directional tires, I would expect them to know how to rotate them and not refer to the manual. Seems overkill for Rivian to have to put that in the manual.
I think Rivian bought them from Tesla and Rivian decided to eat the costs and not pass it on to current CCS owners. If Tesla was just handing out free adapters then all other companies that are switching to NACS would offer them to their customers for free but that's not the case.
