Opposite experiences and opinion for me on my 21”, but I am believing more that it is due to bad alignments causing my tires to get prematurely bald.
Does anyone have what the tread depth should be for the 21”s if they are brand new?
I had a feeling it could be an even deeper issue. My 2nd alignment I was told the lead tech did the alignment and did a training day with every one. That’s worrisome if this got worse on the second try. How did you get this roaming expert in house for you?
Update 4/6:
While showing off my truck to a few coworkers, one noticed my rear tires are half bald. 2,400 miles on it. 2 alignments. This could be my issue with the off center wheel, drifting, 0 traction on just a tiny amount of snow and slush, and violent shaking side to side hitting bumps...
Second time driving with snow falling in Colorado with stock 21”s and I’m seriously thinking these are summer tires. I’m still trying to unsuctioncup my butt from the seat. Even with just a tiny bit of water and slush and I’m all over the road and trying my damndest to stay straight. Even going...
2 alignments at the SC and mine still pulls to the right and the steering wheel isn’t totally centered. Told that the drifting to the right is normal…..
The camp kitchen is what made me interested in Rivian, put a deposit down, and bought my R1T. It would be extremely disappointing if it possibly killed off. Not the end of the world, but it sucks. Now my question is, does a two burner electric stove for the 120v ports heat up just as quick as a...
The first time I went in, a tech did a ride along with me before service and agreed it drifted.
The second time I went in, the tech drove it before service and agreed partly and even tapped into a diagnostic screen while driving and the steering wheel was -2 to -3 degrees, but still said some...
I'd like to see what everyone else's experience with this and how their R1Ts compare.
When I took delivery of my R1T back in Feb, I noticed the steering wheel isn't straight/centered. To keep the truck straight, it has to be turned ~2-3 degrees to the left. If I center the wheel, the truck...
I signed my BPA 8/15/2022. Took delivery 2/25/2023 with post price increase.. My CPA did my taxes and went off the signed BPA date. I am getting the credit, pending any possible audits if the IRS wanted to do takesies backsies. For Colorado though, CO doesn't honor the BPA so we had to do the...
I'm probably naive, but wouldn't using the 12v in the frunk (and gear tunnel) possibly run the risk of draining the 12v battery that seems to be having issues quite a bit and bricking the R1? My assumption would be people would use this while camping/tailgating when the truck is off for an...
Yea I have to slam mine multiple times too with both hands near each latch point to it’s even pressure. A little embarrassing when showing off the truck. Not the biggest issue for me though.
TSLA was a small stock for years and years then it exploded, then Elon wouldn't STFU and it tanked some. Rivian IPO was a year and a half ago and just started shipping less than a year ago. I'm in it for the long haul. Give it a few years and some new models and hopefully cheaper models so more...
I noticed shortly after I took delivery the truck drifts right and I constantly have to correct it by turning and keeping the wheel every so slightly left. If I put the wheel in a straight and centered position, I really go right. I got it aligned Friday at the Denver SC. It was way off and they...
Well, previously I got moved from Jan-Feb to March-April, but I got a guide and access to the shop. After about three weeks or so of constantly checking the shop, tonight I saw my exact configuration available. Snagged it and the 8 steps opened and I can schedule delivery already! Granola is...
