I've noticed this too. Except mine have only been small nicks and nothing has splintered out. But I've had more marks on the windshield in a few months of owning the R1T than I've had in years driving trucks and cars in similar conditions.

Is it just me or does it seem like they changed the texture of the bed rails? They made a point in one of their earlier videos saying it was a soft textured surface (rubberized?) so that things wouldn't slide around. I liked that idea and hoping it hasn't changed.

I totally agree, pretty bummed about the redesign. I don't know why they couldn't have made a deeper storage pocket there to make it level. Maybe they ran out of room for the camp kitchen? I'm hoping they didn't do away with that idea all together. Based on some recent photos, it kind of looks...
