Seems that Reddit is lighting up today with people posting about Guide contacts. Here’s another with a really interesting bit about a range formula for towing:
I’m sure this has been posted here before but I’m just now discovering it. Has anyone seen these interior shots of R1S?
I noticed the lack of wood, so maybe this is the first in person shot of the Explore package interior?
You should probably just cancel your reservation with all the complaining you do. Do you want the truck or not? If you’re hesitant and wanting a reason to cancel, please clear the queue at your convenience so that I can move up one spot. Thank you!
I think Guide emails have been going out about every day, but we just don't hear about them all because we only hear from those that are viewers of this forum. There's a big wide world out there outside of these forums!
I wouldn't be so sure about that and I'm not sure that I agree with that. We just simply do not have enough information here on these forums to know about the broader Rivian reservation holder base and what their status is.
You have to remember that you're only hearing from a tiny handful of people on these specific forums. Remember people, there's a big huge world out there outside of this bubble! It's entirely possible – and very likely – that many many more people were contacted by Guides who don't obsessively...
But no, don't you get it? Everyone in these forums clearly knows how to run the company better than Rivian themselves! If only Rivian listened to the armchair engineers and businessmen in these threads!
/sarcasm
I just found a few small changes to the interior today as well. I had screenshots of the configurator screen from a few months ago when I first reserved to compare to the updated ones from today.
I'm not saying these are all negative or positive (that's subjective), but here's what I saw:
No...
So what's the alternative you'd like them to do? Deliver anyways when they're not ready?
It's 1 month of a delay for first deliveries – it's not like it's 6 months or a year. We have to watch and see how the production ramp goes. Their "all LE deliveries done by Spring 2022" statement doesn't...
Hang on...you just made up that "first deliveries date" on your end and now you're disappointed about a date that Rivian never confirmed or said themselves. All Rivian has ever said is "Deliveries begin June 2021". They never said "On June 1st we will deliver a vehicle".
Just want to make that...
This approach works well for an established automaker like Ford that has been making and launching products for over 100 years, but I don’t think it’s the right approach for an unproven startup like Rivian.
If you watched the F-150 Lightning unveil, you probably saw the bazillion disclaimers...
See, now this is one prediction we can pretty safely debunk based on facts we know. The facts being that just last week, Rivian Support was telling people cleanly and plainly that they are "still on track to start production in June". I don't remember the exact thread/message on here where I saw...
That's completely unfounded for you to assume that, and I think you're totally wrong too. You sound like an armchair engineer/manager when you say stuff like that and lose credibility. C'mon man...
Everyone on these forums seems to be forgetting that Rivian Support was telling people just 2 days ago that they are “still on track for Guides to reach out in May and production to start in June”. They also literally told us that Guides are finishing up training as we speak. You want Guides to...
Zero? I reserved only in April 2021 and I think I’ve received at least 3 or 4 emails from them with updates about where they’re at and what’s to come.
It’s super strange to me how people take “they haven’t told me what I want to hear yet” to mean “they’ve had absolutely ZERO customer...
