Haven’t seen any posts on this so sharing this information. There are a number of programs running in Canada that will pay you for charging your EV at home. They are monetizing the carbon credits generated from your home charging under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR). Not sure how long...
Seeing some of the vehicles provided I will have to raise my expectations next time. Ended up with a ford escape. The positive, after driving the escape for a few days, it made me appreciate how great the Rivian is and how amazing it is to drive a fast EV!
While driving down to visit family this weekend was pleasantly surprised to see driver+ was available to use on the west portion of Stonetrail. Must have been recently been added and very happy to see they are expanding road availability. Any other new roads around calgary that have been added?
You should be able to change drive modes on the fly as long as you are not using adaptive cruise control or highway+. I guess it could be a Gen2 thing but would seem strange to limit it that way.
I made a silicon mold of one of the badges and used a multi pour of resin to layer in different colors and opacity for lighting. Alton but a lot of work with mixed results from a lighted perspective. It does open a lot of options for custom colored logos though if your creatively inspired.
I have been playing around with trying to build one for the sides of our R1S and something much sutler than what you would use on the front. It’s been surprising challenging and I’m not happy with the results so far. And then there will be the challenges of installing and power it.
Thought I would contribute another tire option to this thread. Have been running Hankook Winter i*Pike X studded W429A, 275 60r20 on 2024 Gen 1 R1S Quad Large for a couple weeks now. Did a round trip to Edmonton from Calgary.
Total Distance: 638 km
Efficiency: 3.38 km/kwh
95% highway driving...
Installed these a month ago on our R1S, solid product, looks great and I suspect it will last the life of the vehicle. Thanks for bringing this to market!
Good sign the Calgary SC is coming together. What dates were people able to book test drives for?
In the 5 hours between getting the email and going to book they had already filled up, however I’m sure they will add more slots at some point.
Also anyone that does go for the test drive...
I drove by this location on the weekend and didn’t see any signs that work, is or has occurred. Hopefully approval with the city is not holding this up. Any educated opinions on how long it will take to get the location setup, especially since Rivian is suppose to start deliveries locally...
