I believe that they said R3 will also have only two zones in the “zonal architecture“. That will help with the cost. This was also mention for the VW small car coming in 2027.
I have a buy order in right now at below market. Hopefully I will get it as I believe the R2 and R3 are going to sell very well. Enough so that they become profitable next year.
I don’t think it is his fault that in those headier days of EV companies going public, the market overshot the mark. This happens with many hyped sectors IPOs.
I have no problem with this. The guy has work his ass for what 11 years to get to this point? He has built an excellent team, got a factory going with another on the way, etc. etc. If he hits the milestones the shareholders get $153B and he gets 3% of that at $4.6B.
I wish they would say how many launch editions would be made. I would love one and would hopefully move up in line if I ordered one. They said during the investor conference call that the capability is in all the vehicles they have made and that they are working on a bidirectional charger for this purpose. Can do 24kW. Does not help you now but help is on the ay for the future.
Regardless of the route you are taking for this trip, the Tesla charger system is by far the largest charging system in the US and Canada. The charge port is smaller and the charge connector also smaller and easier to use. I cannot speak to the software side, but I would assume Tesla parts for...
I would definitely want a whole home backup capability living in Florida. With my solar system and an R2 with backup available through the charge port I could power necessities for as long as necessary.
