You have a week (or 1,000 miles) to return the truck to Rivian if you don't like it. Since you are on the fence, maybe it would make sense to get it, drive it to ~900 miles, spray it with a hose, check for squeaks/weird noises/panel misalignments and at the end of the week, see if you loved it...
I bet they are trying to get vehicles out the door and delivered for Q3.
My original order was a max pack so the last email I received was months ago stating first half of 2023.
I switched to large pack 6 weeks ago, just got the 8 steps and VIN.

I would love to hear any feedback on working with Parsons as well. I just got my VIN and 6/8 steps are open. Parsons rate is 2% lower than the best rate at the local CUs.
I saw my first Canyon Red R1T last weekend. It was in direct sunlight and looked very orange mixed with pink. While it is an intricate color with a lot of depth, I decided to switch to blue. I've only ever purchased red vehicles so a bit disappointed. I'm sure somehow I will survive. :)...
I received it as a February 2021 pre order holder with no truck yet. I told them I am excited about the product as I have been able to drive one but communication on timelines could be improved.
Thank you for pointing out these issues. Some have mentioned Rivian described the clicking noises as normal behavior but it is great someone with knowledge can show otherwise. That'll help everyone and get a fix out the door.
Hi there - I am in the same boat as you. I asked customer service and they stated we will be receiving an email a little bit later to sign, since our situation is a bit different. I don't think it will be long! :)
