I know that this is an old issue that has been discussed in these Forums. However, confusion and misunderstandings about these devices clearly persist.
What We Think We Know
Rivian Key Bands were first issued with Launch Vehicles in 2022-23.
Key Bands can be successfully paired with other Gen...
Followup Number 2: Here are more photos of the Amazon no-drill front license plate mount.
(Note padding on upper surface of mount.)
Photos 1-3. This mount comes in two pieces, with hardware included. I believe (but am not 100% positive) that is is the way that the mount fits...
Followup Number 1: Here is more information about the 3-D printed front license plate mount.
It is actually quite clever.
A. The mount is made of two pieces of 3D-printed plastic. They fit together (using bolts and nuts not supplied), clamping around a front tow hook.
B. The mount...
Thanks for writing. Just for the record, I paid $250 plus tax for each fob. Sent directly from Rivian. Never used; never programmed. One is still in the unopened Rivian mailing package. So my fob price is firm--still a savings for a potential buyer.
Cheers.
My understanding is that the Gen 2 key fob button will work with either the Gen 2 R1S hatchback or the R1T tonneau cover. But, I have not confirmed that personally.
Here are mostly new and some lightly-used parts for Rivian R1S and R1T (and maybe R2?). Items include:
Photo #2 Key
A. Rivian air compressor kit (like new)
B. Rivian first aid kit (like new)
C. Yellow silicone front tow hook covers (new)*
D. Rivian front trunk (frunk) cargo net (never used)
E...
IF you regularly park a car outside, a cover can reduce damage from sun, bird droppings, hail, sand, and other small debris. It is also arguably a minor theft/vandalism deterrent (in some areas; in others, not so much). Is it worth $500 (say for a $100,000 vehicle)? That's up to the individual...
I was curious if and when Rivian would offer a branded car cover for their R1 vehicles. I can't be sure, but they look similar in design and materials to the kind built for and sold by Tesla for Model X, et cetera. They were expensive also, like $450 at the time (less now, I believe). R1s are...
The Administrator recovered an earlier (May 5) version of the OP. And I have access to the table function again. (Can't live without tables.) So things seem to be OK again.
I received a swift reply from the Administrator. He is working on correcting the issue and will try to recover my lost tables.
You might share with him (again) your issues. They may be related to my problem, or not.
I sent a direct message to the Administrator about this issue. We'll see what happens.
I have noticed that the same software (or a similar version) is used on other forum sites (like the Tesla Motors Club Forum). I have not noticed the problem happening there, so far.
Of course the (leased?)...
Just checked my popular Running Boards compilation post/thread.
SAME THING THERE.
IF I try to edit the OP (with its key tables listing all the running board/rock-slider products) there, the table format disappears). So I cancelled out, and the tables (thank heavens) remain, for now.
What...
I added an interesting (in a bad way) update at the start of the OP. If anyone has any insight to what happened to the four tables in the OP, please let me know.
I do not seem to be able to add a table to any post (in this Thread), including this one.
Sorry, I have no idea. But a couple of comments, nonetheless...
Just from the photos they look really well made and rugged. (Nice welds.)
Is it possible that they accidentally sent you products intended for a different brand/model of vehicle?
Ha, ha. It's been a year, so I totally forget.
Seriously, I think it is just web-page by web-page (to find out). Rock sliders would have to be lower than the bottom of the car to be fully effective, is that correct? (I am not experienced with these things.) I am wondering if clearance is...
