Nice work, I've been trying to find the rattle in my door and I think you nailed it! Can you please post a link to the file? I've searched Printables and I can't find it.
My wife has a Gen1 PDM R1S which has these exact symptoms you have described. It seemed to start with the software update as you mentioned.
I’m going to raise a service ticket and see where we get to with it.
Ok, figured I’d tip the recent posts towards the positive just in the off chance there’s potential buyers looking who are worried.
I got my wife a 2023 Gen1 R1S PDM as a replacement for her 2022 Model X and she absolutely loves it. There was only one really minor issue with the vehicle which...
With the price increases here in Canada I ended up switching my reservation to a TriMax. I was really on the fence regarding performance/range and usually just buy the way you do. I think the extra range will be ultimately more useful than beating people off the line at the lights. I even got...
In retrospect the highway wind noise was quite significant as it’s now quieter than my F150 Lighting Platinum which is a nice place to be for long highway rides.
They replaced the cladding and moulding for both driver and passenger side front triangles in the door and reseated and sealed the...
Hi all,
I’ve read a lot of service horror stories on here so I thought I’d share my recent very positive experience.
My wife has a Gen 1 R1S that we got in early 2024. We haven’t had any issues with it other than some wind noise at highway speeds and a rear passenger door that was more...
I'm on the fence. Based on the Motortrend article I'll likely go with the Tri just because of the range hit. However I want to see some more real world testing with the G2 Quad before making the call.
Not really the answer to your question directly but we're running a collapsible crate in the rear for our Frenchie. He really likes it, there's a vent that blows directly on him and I've got it strapped down with some stretchy straps...
???
I posted it in the review section of the forum. It was an honest review from a car/truck fan. I found it a very disappointing product for the reasons I discussed.
I also got accused for being a bot, a troll, a Ford Exec and a millennial. ?. The replies at the end are people just telling me...
I did the same thing. I'd pretty much decided to go with the 2025 R1T Quad next year but I thought it would be prudent to test drive the Cybertruck first.
I posted my review in the Cybertruck Owners - Cybertruck Reviews section. I caught a bit of heat ?
To be fair I do agree my heading was a...
Classic, when I test drove the Air they were keen to point out that the Mercedes S-Class was their competition rather than the Model S. I think this is reason why they haven’t done too well because it’s certainly not an S-Class for either the driver or passengers.
Now that I’ve seen the R-Class...
Just thought I’d add my 2c to this thread. Prior to this update I felt like our 2023 PDM R1S had a little too much weight transfer and roll at high speeds on the highway in moderate stiffness. So much so if I was going quickly I’d normally set it to firm and back to moderate on the local roads...
The R1 Shop recently opened here in Ontario. There’s a range of configurations but only quad motor and surprisingly a lot of Launch Green.
It is possible that they put some aside for early reservation holders here in Canada. Or as you highlighted this could just be a way to shift legacy...
Interesting tear down by Munro. The motors were donated from Rivian. Sounds like the Quad refresh may be in house and they are likely stepping away from Bosch. (Total speculation on my part but makes sense).
If you search the forum for “half shafts” you’ll see the issues that people are experiencing in the QM. It’s basically a clicking or popping sound as you roll on and off the power (I believe).
As Kyle mentions towards the end of his video, Rivian are applying a fix with washers for people but...
I'm in exactly the same boat as you. I'm getting the R1S for my wife coming from a 2022 Model X LR.
I was hoping this thread would provide some insights. It's going to be a family hauler and not an off road vehicle.
Saying that I'm pre-price hike so either is a great deal based on current...
