I’m interested in seeing how the new grand wagoneer erects will be received. Supposed to be around June this year. I would personally prefer an even smaller battery (40-50kw) and the V6 generator. I’m guessing they sized the 92kw to meet a more average US daily commute range. Definitely no free...
Pointless dent removal. Usually involves pushing with a tool from behind or glue pulling from the front. Knock down high spots. Good techs can take out almost anything. Some locations make it harder others easier. Crease lines generally make things harder. Different metals react differently
For reference PDR usually costs me around 150-450 depending on the size of the dent. I’d ask for reputable recommendations Aron d you and get quotes/assessments. A lot of it depends on access to behind the dent. Not sure if the top of the tailgate plastic pops off easily, but if it does that...
How deep are the scratches? Can you tell if it’s through clear, color, or prime?
Dents should be approachable with PDR. If scratches not too deep, a detailer could get it probably close to 90%
If you don’t want a full panel reshoot i would consider masking and blending below the crease. Fortunately your pimple is below the crease and the area is small, even if the paint is not a perfect match, it won’t attract the eye.
Now how on earth did that happen… I don’t think there’s any way...
Ya not a good business decision to keep the R1 standards around. The math for buyers that it works for is great, I have never felt in want of more range, and Massachusetts gives an upfront $7500 check in the mail when you buy/lease a lot of configurations of standard. The math for Rivian...
If they drop the R1S dual by $2k after removing standard, then in Massachusetts the state will pay you $7500 upfront (under $80k including destination). Not holding my breath though.
I’d still take a R1S standard and I wager there are others who would. Even at current prices the value is excellent compared to x7 and gls. The q7 and 8 aren’t even worth mentioning. There is no replacement for size difference. I’d also get a R2 to replace my wife’s car.
Yup mine is one of the first gen 2s. Started throwing this error a week before my previously scheduled appointment for the other recalls. Scheduling wanted me to come in asap but the SC had no earlier appointment. My service rep did mention off hand that implied this is happening semi regularly...
I had one of the first x7s back in the day. Agree the ride quality is miles ahead of the Rivian. Fit and finish the Rivian is about 80% of the x7, which I’m fine with.
The instant torque is nice, but it would be hard for me to give up the exhaust note from that S68.
I’ve never had any qualms...
I’ve driven a gen 2 S for a year and a half and went for a test in a gen 2 T. Both are dual motor, same wheel set (20s).
The suspension difference is huge. The T definitely handles bumps much better than the S. The S bounces a lot more.
the three settings are very noticeably different for me...
TIL Lexus IS still had a standard cd player for MY2025. That tracks. Pun intended.

Glad you found the culprit. I had written a response but forgot to hit reply that it was likely to be a large vehicle based on how high it hit. My initial guess was a red landscaping dump truck.
Sorry about the disappointing missing recordings. Not the first I've heard of an incident/accident not being written to recording. I often check the little save progress bar after honks to verify the event saving to drive. If it does not, I then manually hit the save icon. I know it won't help...
