A car, and a truck or SUV, will be different due to the difference in height from the seat pan to the floor. I don't expect the occupants knees to be above their waist in the R1T or R1S. It's a more comfortable sitting position for an equivalent amount of space.
I noticed that the measurements are almost the same as my Dodge Durango, both in terms of overall exterior size and the headroom/legroom measurements here. As someone who has just recently had two rear facing car seats, and now has two front facing car seats, I can tell you they fit just fine...
All we can do is speculate, but again, being an optimist, I'm wondering if EPA questioned Rivian's range/efficiency claims and wanted additional data to back up claim that Rivian had not collected, or collected sufficiently according to EPA. I have never submitted a system for EPA certification...
I don’t understand the speculation behind Rivian not meeting EPA goals. This is something they would’ve tracked and evaluated very frequently over the development of the vehicle. When you engineer a vehicle there are key metrics at the system level that you measure and track over the course of...
400 miles may be possible, but would be fairly difficult to achieve as that’s sub 400 wh/mi for the 155kwh usable battery pack. I’ve seen numbers that say the Mach-e is around 300 wh/mi, I think model y is around 320 wh/mi, so the f-150 being under 400 wh/mi with the relatively poor aerodynamics...
I’d be willing to bet the issue is not with the vehicle itself, but with the support Rivian must provide after delivery (e.g. service/repairs). I’m still operating under the assumption that the majority of LE will be delivered this year to people within some distance of a major metropolitan area...
Someone on reddit posted an R1S in downtown Birmingham the other day. Just a short 5 minute walk from my house, had I known it was going to be there. My daughter and I take trips to Plymouth when we're bored to see if there are any in there parking lot, and haven't seen anything except a whole...
I don’t think it’s an error as the price of the adventure package dropped by $2k with the removal of those features. Also looks like the air compressor is standard on the explore package which I didn’t think it was prior to today.
I wonder if it’s the first official builds off the assembly line. They’d probably want to bring their engineers and other key people in for that kind of moment
Does this mean it will be between 8,000 and 9,000 lb? If so that is one heavy truck!
GVWR is the maximum weight the vehicle is able to support. This includes the curb weight of the truck and any payload.
Article from the NYT today makes it sound like Lordstown may be on the way out:

Shares of Lordstown Motors, a start-up aiming to make electric pickup trucks, dropped more that 15 percent in at the start of...
