Got sick of the air compressor cover not staying down after driving at interstate speeds so I gorilla glued a magnet on the inside of the cover directly over the top of the fitting.
The fitting is metal so the magnet sticks to the fitting and keeps the cover down.
Not really a permanent...
Having the spare helps make the rotation soo much easier. Since we are limited to where to Jack up these trucks since there isn’t a big frame to use with jack stands or a pinch weld type, makes it harder.
Also willing to let you borrow another jack if you need another to get it done.
My setup:
Found the Rocky Mounts 47” track and their HotRod bike mounts that work in the track.
The beds existing bolt holes on the bottom of the cab side wall worked perfectly. The existing outside mounting holes on the 47” Track fit perfectly without modifications. The track is just the...
Yeah just last weekend used it two haul two bikes down to Bentonville AR from Iowa.
Only real mod needed is for my road bike. The handle bars touch the rear truck window so I put a 3/4 inch piece of wood between the Rocky Mount and the track as a spacer of sort to move the bike back just enough...
That should work as well and if I need to throw more than two bikes in the back I’d buy another rail and Mount two up there.
Also figured for truck aero purposes I’d keep it down low. Also made me think that being down lower it kept a lower profile and not stand out as much for thieves.
Thought I’d share a solution to carry my road bike or MTB that works for me. Don’t know if I’ve seen anyone with this same setup.
I don’t have the crossbars and wanted to find another solution that was similar to my existing bike mount solution which was just a 2x6 board with Boost and Quik...
Installed the EV Sportline running boards tonight on the R1T. Boy those things take quite awhile to install ( did the slot cut out method) Glad they are finally on though. Going to turn off kneel mode. Also not convinced my driver front air suspension isn’t leaking a bit. It’s been consistently...
I was very surprised at the few options down in that area. I am from Des Moines area and was struggling to find any good chargers myself, made for a frustrating night with friends as my first real trip with the truck.
Boy this sounds like my experience with the giant POS EVGo stations at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park KS just last weekend when I was down there.
Betting it was, I see you are from KC.
It’s just these chargers at this location. I attempted to call their Support to let them know they suck but...
Yeah, especially if local Polk county plates… (Assume you are talking about the free Shell Casey’s in Ankeny). Btw, why is that even free?
Took my first trip outside of the state with my R1T this past weekend, not so convinced this will be my road trip vehicle… Way too much planning involved...
