Yep, not surprising. He was going to figure out a way to get out of it or delay this.
Especially considering he is not selling his cars like hot cakes, he is not going to make it easy for his competition to grow now.
I mean how can he justify his 60billion compensation package !
As I had expected, Musk will figure out a way to wiggle out of his commitment to open the SC network or at-least delay the whole adoption as long as he possible can,
Hello Folks!

Here are the details:

No it is not.
The R1 is not becoming the R2 because of a platform change. I think it's safe to say the cat is out of the bag about the R2.
Also read and contextualize the conversation I had with the guide.
The context of the conversation was in regards to the R1(S) and not about the R2.
Two weeks ago I did a demo drive of the R1S and the guide I did the demo with hinted about a 'platform change' to the R1S, not the T apparently. And he mentioned that they had a camouflage R1S going around with this new platform and they had it in their service centre a short while ago for...
If the IVY chargers are not recognized as charging locations in the Rivian map, and if you are just trying to initiate preconditioning, you could try locating another DCFC station that is on the map (If there is one) en-route to your preferred IVY station, which will initiate the...
Yes we do, and I do have a lot of gripe about this car. The UI definitely needs a ground up redesign when it comes to ergonomics and usability.
Please do not get me started on those damn auto wipers !
But, I am also starting to buy into Tesla's craziness on a lot of these decisions.
Hear me...
They knew they were going to go with the Tesla charging port and still decided to go with the wrong location for it!
Hopefully the V4s are far more prevalent by the time 26 rolls in.
I am in the same boat as you (though no where near ready to be retired), where I am deciding if I should offload my Model S (It has some qualities I am starting to like).
But thanks to Musk, I have lost close to 30K in resale value in the first year I bought it when Tesla dropped the MSRP. So I...
Yeah I do agree with you on the 'all around' definition for the R1S and still like a lot of what the S is offering and want to keep it in consideration.
The S I test drove, had the ATs because of winter and the guide said they would be switching it to the 22 summers in another week or so. I am...
I am glad to hear I had some credibility, to loose, with you  .
I guess I will have to live with that disappointment.
The Polestar 2 was one of the most fun and engaging BEVs to drive, every time I test drove one.
So I am not expecting anything less with the Polestar3.
PLUS, "Android...
I do agree with you on that.
There is a member of the Rivian Owners of Ontario group in B who owns the new Model X and took delivery of an R1S and decided to sell the R1S as the X has a better ride/suspension quality.
Based on the test drives I have done so far, the BMW iX50 is my top pick, it's an overall better SUV, with the Audi SQ8 eTron in second place. I personally do not need all the towing, off road and third row capabilities.
But I am also waiting for the Polestar3.
