I don't think I would call that lying. It was certainly a motivated, nonsense test that existed to serve as entertainment and an advertisement for the lidar company.
Mostly just charging logistics, as a lot of the places we wanted to go. Camp were 30, 50, 100 from the nearest DC fast charger. Were 30, 50, 100 mi from the nearest DC fast charger... And probably about 50% of the time the campground electrical didn't work (or would only reliably work at 120...
We did several thousand miles of towing with it. Overall kind of a pain in the ass, But we loved it nonetheless.
When the weather was good and speeds were 65 to 70 mph. We could do about 150 mi between charges if necessary.
Typically, however, we would aim for 60 to 90 mile hops with a 20 to...
I guess I never updated this.
Without changing any wiring or dip switches, Rivian support did something on their end to reset or update the charger. It has behaved perfectly ever since across several different EVs.
This is typically my experience with PAAK (and I wander sufficiently far from the truck), but not when using the fob - the fob is significantly "dumber" for me.
If I'm "on the bubble" of range for PAAK, it seems like it tries to filter things out and can take several extra seconds to unlock
This is what I was hoping it was when they mentioned it in the release and is what it feels like. Significantly softend up the cross-linked hydraulics to act like a very soft sway bar. It's definitely not as rolly-polly as Rally, but it's closer..
Far more luxurious ride over potholes and...
I'll back you up on this rant / disillusionment.
I *LOVE* PAAK, but the reliability and inconsistencies are sometimes frustrating.
The amount of nagging the app gives you when not using PAAK is absurd. And the cards are not intuitive or quick to use, especially on Gen1.
Literally the first...
I've been through the car wash a handful of times over the past few years. Shifting to neutral was reasonably easy via the stalk.
Then one day I noticed they added the option to shift to neutral via the screen and in my latest visit I decided to try that, as it seemed easier....
This must...
HI!
I'm currently continuously traveling with the truck and I probably won't be stationary in/near Virginia until early May. I've got a relatively tight window to sell it before May 21. I will be getting some detailed interior photos together and more firm details and photos of any/all...
I unfortunately need to sell my 2022 R1T due to an upcoming move to Europe.
Looking to line up anyone who might be interested before I sell to Carmax or Carvana by ~May 15.
I'll gather better photos when the weather improves - It's in good shape, but not perfect, as I did nothing in the name of...

Use a tire calculator and get tires of matching diameter to the calibration of your vehicle. There's ample choice in both 275/65R20 and 275/60R20 to match the 20" and 21"/22" wheels respectively.
I recently did a temporary import of my R1T. I believe the guy that did my inspection at Canadian Tire said that if you leave the truck for 15 minutes drive more than 10kph (https://rivian.com/en-CA/support/article/safety-recall-021224) it automatically re-enables DRLs and that was considered...
Absolutely baffled by all the praise of the manual cover. I am extremely disappointed by it. While it's not *difficult* to use, it is far less useful than the power cover or roll- and fold-up cover designs. Why?
Want to partially cover the bed?
The panels are going to be loose and just...
