Want to buy black crossbars, willing to spend $400, located in Indianapolis. Will drive up to a couple hours to meet up or I'll pay for shipping. Thank you!
EDIT: Stop digging up my private email and phone number and texting me, creepy scammers -- contact me through this forum or not at all.
TL;DR: Nokian One HT are super comfortable, and a great value. Not enough data to make a judgement on efficiency yet but I will report back.
In less than three months, I've experienced the OEM 22" Pirelli Scorpion MS, the 20" Goodyear Wrangler Territory, and now these 22" Nokians and, if you...
Especially when in the real world a lot of people are lucky to see 200 miles in anything but perfect conditions. The Standard LFP has not been a good look for Rivian.
Does anyone in the area have a gen 2 R1S that would be willing to do a back-to-back test drive with mine, so I can compare suspension behavior? I'll buy you lunch if you want. I have what feels like excessive damper play and clunk noises from the rear end, especially the right side, that feels...
I love these tires but I don’t understand how you’re getting 2.4. I’m lucky to see 2.1 @ 75mph in moderate weather (60-70F). What temps and what wheels are you on?
Well I got it back today. They spent several days and said they had their most senior tech check every single thing in the rear suspension -- compression test, fluid level check, torqued every single bolt to spec. They took many many test drives they said, and even drove it back to back with...
So it seems like it's not unusual for them to make this sound even without (or at least before) any leaking is obvious. Great...so I just need to make my shock leak? :D
What if it's all leaked out already though? I guess I would hope that they can check the shocks in some way and tell that...
Yeah I agree it sounds like a blown shock, not leaking that we can see though.
I drive around in Normal height/Normal ride/All purpose drive mode most of the time. It feels like this in all modes. The excess movement in the shock becomes less noticeable when I go to Firm ride mode (and thus...
I am frustrated. I drove my R1S up to Ft Wayne, 90 minutes away, to get a bunch of stuff taken care of. They've solved most of it, except for the thing that's bugging me most -- the rear suspension.
In general, the rear end feels a little bit "nervous". Like even on smooth pavement, it's not...
Hopefully it gets at least 42 feet. Part of that's downhill though.
My...10 year old? It started out as two blocks of wood from a kit like this.
Absolutely! DeWalt 20v all the way.
My son in Cub Scouts decided that our R1S in Rivian blue was "cool" (who am I to argue) and he wanted to make that his pinewood derby car this year.
This is what he built. He did pretty much all of it himself. The only things I helped him with was giving him the idea to glue two standard kit...
After this update, I swear the truck is sitting a lot lower when the suspension height is set to normal. I didn’t measure it beforehand, but I noticed it immediately and I can’t shake the feeling. It just seems to be sitting lower than it used to. Has anyone else noticed this? I had to set it to...
I like this game, but I'm going to disagree with you a bit here. At one point, RJ said that the first versions available at launch aren't going to be the top-tier fully loaded ones. He said something along the lines of it would be a well equipped popular spec but not loaded.
For that reason...
This. I just want a suspension system that rides like a $100k car should and doesn't require something like 1 in 5 of these vehicles to have some major suspension component replaced in the first 30k miles. If they do NOTHING ELSE for an R1 refresh, they need to do a major rethink of the suspension.

"Launch mode added to Performance Dual Motor, with 0 to 60 and quarter mile stats"
Same (well, I never had a Quad)...from what I hear the rear motor engagement is "better" than it used to be, but I still hate it. My preference for a fully automated approach would be full time 4WD by default, unless I'm above 60 mph for like 2+ minutes then DISengage the rear automatically.
