On the Rollins Pass Road? I've actually never driven that one but I've heard it isn't bad. The Rivian will surprise you how capable it is - ground clearance/approach angles are 90 percent of what you need.
I posted this a couple days ago on Reddit, but also wanted to share here. I was out hiking in the mountains Saturday, and had to drive in to the trailhead on a long road that was a railroad up until about 100 years ago.
Got back to the R1 after the hike and found a giant railroad spike in the...
I of course know the R2 will be more efficient. But given the efficiency numbers of other EVs out there (such as Tesla, BMW), it seems like that number will be hard to achieve in real world.
I'm still skeptical of the 3.7 as a realistic real-world number. My R1S (Quad Large Gen1) is rated at about 2.45 mi/kWh EPA. That's definitely achievable at highway speeds in the right conditions, but I don't think the R2 could come close to that at highway. It seems to set owners up for...
Well it's not really "real-world" because range doesn't matter to most people in those situations. It only matters in highway driving (i.e. long trips)
