Just got “what’s your address” email this evening (10/22/2024). We got our R1S Launch Edition (sans 12volt dash outlet) on November 15, 2023. Loooking forward to having in the frunk. More charging options.
wonder if the connect+ bitching is modified by getting a ”free” adapter. I tried of the...
There are two Tesla L2 chargers in Escalante. One is at the Entrada Lodge and the other is at Canyon Canyon Inn. There are also Tesla L2 chargers at Byrce Canyon.
I have used a Jayco FlowPro Digital Tire Inflator to have 50psi in our R1S 20” AT tires when cold. Currently 50 at 6000’. When I begin driving (after reset) the vehicle is reporting 47psi.
Any others having this discrepancy?
What should the vehicle be reporting after operating when the tires...
We’ve had our 2023 Launch Edition for a year. Absolutely love it. Best vehicle we hav ever owned. We buy Rivian shares with the money we save on gasoline.
I’d go to a commercial charger and see if the vehicle will accept a charge. I believe you have a faulty breaker.
that’s what I would do.
keep us posted
We make several trips a year from and to San Diego from Escalante, Utah. 632 miles and we see Rivians at the RAN stations in Las Vegas and Barstow. Other than those we may see one or two on I-15. However in San Diego we see them regularly.
We’ve found that our regular 635 mile trip from San Diego to Escalante, Utah that is at the most thirty minutes longer in the R1S than the Toyota Highlander. You learn to pace the trip to match charging with “taking a break.” Once you learn to believe the ABRP routing/charging program there’s no...
This is great news for all EVs and for those of us invested in Rivian. In coming years revenue from charging will be factored into its performance. If Rivian stagetrically locates their chargers in areas surrounding national forests, parks and monuments they will be getting EVs to these...
I’ll wait for the adapter that Rivian sends me. i would use Tesla Superchargers only on long road trips and out of town visits. My back of the envelope calculations suggests it will take lots of Tesla chargers to offset the cost of third party adapters. If getting an adapter immediately pencils...
We put a similar mount in our R1S. I find that with an initial full charge on the iPhone we don’t need to charge over a 650 mile road trip. Not sure there’s an advantage to the wiring harness. The left side mount is perfect.
We have been purchasing RIVN since the IPO. I plan on continuing until we reach 1000shares. This is being treated as an education fund for our one year granddaughter. Trying to buy low so she deals with the capital gains. (Smile)
