In the series Long Way Up, available on Apple TV, they show several times when the Rivian’s ran out of juice and got a tow which recharges the batteries a bit. That is why think there is value in the tow hooks otherwise where will you tow from without damaging the truck?

I too want the tow hooks but not necessarily the steel panels. The tow hooks not only look cool but useful in case you run out of range and need your friend to give you a tow charge. Another thing, all my other vehicles come with a single tow hook that you can screw in to allow a flatbed to load...
