Recently, I set my compressor to 49 PSI and inflated all four tires, which, at least as reported by TPMS, were well below that pressure. Two tires inflated to the correct pressure but two tires went 9-10 PSI over. Has anyone else experienced this issue with their on-board compressor?
Today the Rivian nav. attempted to route me into a highway which was scheduled to be closed (and was, in fact, closed) the entire weekend (Friday night through Monday morning).
It’s not great.
Pros:
- Great handling, decent ride
- Stable at speed; no wind noise (yet)
- Smooth braking near stop point
- Tons of storage
- Pretty comfortable seats
- Seats seven
- Good cross-traffic assist and blind spot detection
Cons:
- Regen on a steep downhill feels like hydroplaning, even in Snow...
Several times, in both Snow Mode and All-Purpose, I have had to engage regen strongly when going down a fairly steep decline. The most common example is hitting traffic around the bend on a steep mountain pass. In these cases regen will cause the car to feel like it's floating, or hydroplaning...
This is after 300 miles of mixed city and highway driving, with some cabin pre-conditioning before use. It seems a bit low, but I guess that's the winter for you. It seems a car with as much glass as the R1S could really use a heat pump, especially if it is garaged outdoors.
Hi,
Has anyone had the chance to take second row EMF measurements in the R1T? I took some on my test drive, but I didn't have time to take it onto the highway, or in conserve mode, which I expect would produce good results.
