  1. Wall chargers

Why share a 60A circuit vs. putting in two separate circuits. If you have 200A service to the panel you should have no problem running both at the same time unless you are also planning to run multiple AC zones and have all The lights and the oven on at the same time. Max load on 200A...
  2. Garage Door Integration? Homelink?

Are you a fellow SS/Holden owner ? I have my R1T parked next to my 6.2L SS/Holden haha.
  3. Wall chargers

Good to know, mine came with a 12” cord so maybe I have the UL model just without the stamp? Not sure if it has the dip switch as I just set it up with the app and wasn’t looking, i will check if i take the cover off again. Agreed, super high quality connector and cord, solid software/app. I...
  4. Wall chargers

Not sure on MPH, probably 25-27 - it’s putting out about 11.7-12kW per hour. Our service voltage is pretty hot at 245v so The juice is going in a little quicker.
  5. Service Summary - R1T - How to drain a battery in 30 hours or less

I learned the same thing, but caught it in time. My delivery person had some ROWDY cologne on which was all over my seatbelt on day 1. When I got home i wound out the seatbelt and buckled it in to keep it unwound, i hit it with some vinegar and water mixed to kill the smell. I planned to leave...
  6. Wall chargers

According to the engineer I spoke with at Emporia there is no hardware difference between the UL ones and pre UL cert. They just started charging $50 more to recoup the cost of the cert now that they have it and can print the logo.
  7. Wall chargers

Here is my setup. 14-50 Outlet used by our Tesla Model Y. Max circuit output is 40A but the Tesla Mobile Connector tops out at 32A I used the Rivian mobile charger for a week on the 14-50 outlet. It tops out at 34A but that is pretty slow charging for the Rivian. This past weekend I added an...
  8. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

Nice! Assuming you relaxed the top bolt too to move the door? Or did you just loosen the bottom one and pull the door out? If you did the latter I would relax the top bolt and retorque it so there’s no binding on the top mount.
  9. What's reasonable?

Here’s what I think is reasonable if I were in your situation. Provide a comprehensive summary of what was repaired, ideally from the body shop and not Rivian. Provide the name of the body shop who did the work so you can check their reputation Make an appointment or bring the vehicle to you...
  10. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

Hopefully they are hooking you up with a bunch of accessories or something else to make up for the repair. you will probably end up with a better paint job than factory. Most of the trucks have pretty bad orange peel in the clear coat. Not a huge deal but I bet the body shop will paint by hand...
  11. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

That’s good news, it’s being done by body work pros vs Rivian service. Can you Ask what shop it is and swing by to check up on it?
  12. Effects of 0-60 Launches?

launching any car from a stop, especially using a launch mode is pretty hard on everything. You are binding and twisting all the metal half shafts and U-joints. Not to mention it’s hard on the battery pack. what’s wrong with a rolling start? ?
  13. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

Just find a body shop you trust and ask Rivian to send the truck there. Or at least qualify the skill level of the person actually working on your truck. Make them walk you through what they will do and how they will do it. Don’t just drop the truck and hope for the best. Set your expectations...
  14. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

they worked on my trucks fenders, hood and passenger door. They improved the fit on the hood and fenders, had to shim up the passenger fender using washers…but they broke a bunch of the trim clips for the plastic covers that flak the frunk and just left them flopping in there. They messed with...
  15. one door is pretty horribly formed among other issues (still love the truck overall, though)

Hang tough, don’t accept less than a correct fit. Curious what the experience level is with the tech In body work and overall automotive experience. I had the overconfident kid who had his factory training and paper certification… I think the staff believe the trucks are good to go based on...
  16. R1T Included Mobile EVSE Info

Rivian shouldn't slow the rate of charge for L2 / AC charging since it will only accept up to 48A continuous. The throttling usually only happens on DC fast charging
  17. R1T Included Mobile EVSE Info

I have been using the Rivian Mobile EVSE for a few weeks since delivery. I already had a 14-50 plug in our garage which we use for our Tesla Model Y. In fact I have been using the Rivian mobile EVSE to charge the Tesla and the Rivian on alternate nights. Note: A 14-50 outlet uses a 50A breaker...
