My PaaK has been working amazingly with the newest update. Wassym's team looked at my logs and thought the newest update would address my issue so I'm hopeful that it's addressed for good, because it's been a huge upgrade to have seamless PaaK
?
In addition to PaaK, does anyone else have trouble waking your Rivian through the app? I have nearly a 0% success rate trying to wake mine up and/or activate climate, open the hood, etc. I can basically only control it if it's already awake.
The PaaK issues I can toss up to poor or disparate...
I did a full reset a week or two ago and have had perfect PaaK since. Not sure if it's just been a particularly good week for PaaK or if the reset actually resolved the issue, but time will tell.
My process was:
1. Delete phone key in vehicle
2. Uninstall Rivian app
3. Hard reset of R1T
4...
I did a hard reset to address a different issue and now I have this issue (on the latest 2023.14.0 version). Infotainment reset didn't fix it, so now I'm stuck with no tunes for at least an hour until I can hard reset again ?
Did National Grid get themselves some Rivians? An R1T pulled up to use my building's charger with a National Grid follow vehicle. The R1T driver plugged in and then rode off in the NG car.
I can tell that the normies are starting to get Rivians because half the time that I encounter other Rivians now they won't even acknowledge me when I wave or flash my lights ?
Recently the Rivian app had a prompt in the pull up menu to allow the app to "manage my key for more reliable locking and unlocking", at which point android prompted me to accept the request.
Not sure if this new permission will help yet, but I was excited to see an option to improve the...
With spring arriving now, I've been surprised by how conservative the regenerative-braking-lockout seems to be. I took delivery last July, before the R1s had any limiting of regenerative braking due to cold temperatures, so I'm not sure yet what Rivian is defining as cold, but with temperatures...
That's always been there. Any function you press (climate, unlock, etc.) will also initiate a wake-up, so on its own it doesn't have tons of value. I've used it once or twice when standing next to it if it wasn't registering my phone key so that it would be more alert for it.
Still, I would expect it to be nontrivial to source components and setup the supply line, rework the electronics and wiring since there's a different number of speakers, develop the software to control both different systems, tune it for the vehicle, run user studies, deploy to the assembly...
Anyone else impressed by how fast Rivian can engineer and launch cost-cutting measures relative to how fast they can launch refinements, features, gear, etc.?
They used the Meridian system for like 9 months before somehow engineering an entirely new, in-house audio system that they launched...
Yeah, I don't see much value in the guides tbh. Early on they made some sense because there were a lot of unknowns during the process (e.g. membership, gear and add-on timelines, delivery process and timeline, etc.) but now things are a lot more streamlined and routine. But most of the...
I don't know if we have any concrete information, but currently the R1T only meets the GVWR threshold by like 30lbs, so I wouldn't be surprised if the dual motor large pack didn't meet the requirements (max pack might though).
I ended up having Rivian fix it, so no updates on any at-home remedies that might work.
Fortunately it hasn't happened again in the last 6mo so hopefully the issue was fully resolved when Rivian took care of it.
I had a minor issue in MA this month and Rivian sent out a mobile tech in less than a week. I only have positive things to say about the MA/Chelsea/Boston service center.
I've had 2 mobile services and 1 in-center service (plus a drive-thru for the torque recall) and all have been great. I've...
Circling back since I mentioned this issue when I last had a mobile tech out for something. He basically said the same thing as this and fixed it right away. You can see on the trim where it's rubbing against the door so it's pretty easy to identify.
The tech's theory was that road salt made it...
Surprised your service center said that. I mentioned it off-hand when having some other stuff done and they were more than happy to take the panels off and check for loose components. When I got it back there were no more rattles.
